Professor Edwin Tai Chu Cheng is the dean of the Business School of Hong Kong Polytechnic University and an academician of the school of international Systems and Cybernetics. He graduated from Cambridge University in operations research with a strong international influence and research ability, especially in modeling and algorithm design. Currently, he is in California Management Review, Journal of Operations Management, management science, MIS quarterly, operations research, organization science, and production and operations management have published more than 750 scientific papers. He was awarded the outstanding young engineer of the year award of the American Institute of Industrial Engineers in 1992 and Croucher Award (the highest Research Award in Hong Kong) in 2001. He was awarded the honorary title of academician of Hong Kong Academy of Engineering Sciences in 2018. From 2009 to 2019, he was named by ISI as one of the "most cited scientists" in various fields, including business and economics, computer science and engineering. According to Google Scholar statistics, Professor Cheng's articles and works have received more than 35000 citations, with an H-index of 90.
