Professor Roel Leus is the head of the Department of Operations Research and Business Statistics, School of Economics and Business, University of Leuven (USNEWS world university ranking 44). His research fields include project planning and scheduling, portfolio optimization theory and application, and supply chain management. Professor Roel Leus has rich experience in scientific research and teaching. He has obtained 11 research funds from the Belgian government and the National Bank of Belgium. He has published more than 100 high-level papers in well-known international journals, such as POM, EJOR, COR, JOR, Netwroks and so on. He is currently the Deputy editorial board member of or spectrum and the reviewer of several journals. Professor Roel Leus has long been engaged in the teaching of operational research in management, offering undergraduate, master's and MBA courses in many European universities, such as London School of Economics, Royal Swedish Polytechnic, Munich University of science and Technology, etc.
