Professor Pedro Amorim is currently the director of the Industrial Engineering and Management Research Center of the University of Porto, Portugal. His research fields include operations research and operation management. He is also the vice president of EWG LOT. He has published more than 50 academic papers in SCI journals such as International Journal of Production Economics, European Journal of Operational Research, Computers and Operations Research, International Journal of Production Economics, etc.
