Xu Xiwu, PhD candidate, School of Economics and Management, Beijing Jiaotong University, is currently the deputy director of the Outpatient Department of Beijing Hospital. On February 7, he went to Wuhan as a member of the second batch of the national medical team.

When Beijing Hospital set up the first batch of medical team to Go to Wuhan, Xu Xiwu volunteered for the first time, but because the first batch of only sent doctors and nurses, Xu did not go. Later heard that soon to form the second batch, Xu Xiwu again actively asked for war, take the initiative to fight the COVID-19. Xu Xiwu's medical team arrived in Wuhan and took over the intensive care unit. Xu Xiwu also immediately put into work.

In addition to routine medical work management, he is also responsible for the logistics support of more than 50 medical personnel in one of the stations of the Medical team sent to Hubei by Beijing Hospital. The medical team works in shifts every six hours, and Xu insists on transporting his colleagues to the hospital every day, which he says gives them a sense of warmth and strength.

Since arriving in Wuhan on February 7, Xu has not rested a day, and his work has been a race against the clock.

Doctor is a mission and a commitment. To fight against the COVID-19 means the most dangerous and the most resolute undertaking.
