The starry sky is vast and shining above the Bird's Nest on the night of early summer. On the evening of May 15, 2019, the Asian Culture Carnival was held at the National Sports Center. Outstanding artists and youth representatives from Asian countries presented an art performance with Asian regional customs and national cultural characteristics to the global audience. General Secretary Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan, together with a couple of foreign leaders attending the Asian Civilization Dialogue Conference and more than 20,000 spectators, enjoyed the colorful flowers of Asian civilization.

According to the unified arrangement of Beijing, the school selected a total of 200 student volunteers to cooperate with the performance tasks of the carnival, such as "Our Asia", "Fire Passion", "The Boundary of Wind and Flower", "Asian amorous feelings" and "Guests from Afar Please Stay" and "Glory Asia".

The participants are mainly female students of the class of 2018 from the School of Economics and Management, including some students from other colleges at the same time.

The school attaches great importance to the organization and participation in the performance, and various units have done a lot of coordination and guarantee work in students' curriculum arrangement, daily life and other aspects.

From April 15 to May 15, the participating students had a month-long intensive training.

During the training and performance, all the volunteers overcome various difficulties, always assembled on time, obeyed the arrangement, and responded positively, which was praised by the director group.

In the course of the activity, Liu Yuhui, deputy secretary of the Education work Committee of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee and director of the Beijing Education Committee, Di Tao, deputy secretary of the Education work Committee of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee, and Gao Yan, member of the standing committee of the Party Committee and vice-principal of the school, respectively visited and expressed condolences to the students participating in our school. They all positively affirmed the students' spirit of hard work and dedication.

The new era is endowed with a new mission, and the new youth gather new responsibilities. The students of Jiaotong University integrate their personal "ego" into the patriotic feelings of the motherland's "big self", write about the responsibility of the era in which the people of Jiaotong University remember the mission, and positively respond to General Secretary Xi Jinping's ardent hopes for contemporary youth. With a more high-spirited attitude, the youth of Jiaotong University will forge ahead and make ongoing efforts in the journey of building a world-class university with distinctive features and realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
