Opening Ceremony of BJTU-Feb.7th Railway Transportation Equipment MBA Training Class turned out to be a great success

The autumn sky is clear and the air is crisp with the brilliant sunshine. At 10:00 a.m. on September 19, the opening ceremony of BJTU-Feb.7th Railway Transportation Equipment MBA Training Class was grandly convened at the auditorium of Beijing Feb.7th Railway Transportation Equipment Co., Ltd. Mr. Yang Yonglin, the board chairman and general manager of Beijing Feb.7th Railway Transportation Equipment Co., Ltd., Mr. Hao Shengyue, associate dean of School of Economics and Management of BJTU attended the opening ceremony. Present at the ceremony was also Qiao Lili, a teacher from MBA Education Center, who worked as the class advisor of BJTU-Feb.7th Railway Transportation Equipment MBA Training Class.
 
The opening ceremony was presided over by Jia Xiangqiang, the deputy chief engineer of Beijing Feb.7th Railway Transportation Equipment Co., Ltd.
 
First of all, Mr. Yang Yonglin congratulated on the convening of the opening ceremony, pointing out that enterprises were faced with the industrial upgrading, product technical innovation , diversified organizational structure and the challenge of the stern competition to the traditional and new-type rail transit equipment manufacturing industry against the backdrop of the great times of the fast social development, and enterprises are also heavily loaded with the burden for the future development, particularly as to how to cope with the development demand for the fast growth of the corporate economic benefits, how to quickly increase the talent reserve and cultivate the interdisciplinary talents with the solid professional expertise and the advanced management knowledge, which is the priority purpose for launching this training class. Then, Board Chairman Yang encouraged the students by combining the current corporate development situations with his own study and work experience in the hope that they could cherish this good opportunity for an assiduous study and the diligent work, particularly sparing more time out of the tight work schedule for their studies and research so as to quickly improve themselves and try to become the backbone force in the future corporate development.
 
Associate Dean Hao Shengyue, first of all, congratulated 32 candidates delicately selected from Beijing Feb.7th Railway Transportation Equipment Co., Ltd. for having become the official students of BJTU-Feb.7th Railway Transportation Equipment MBA Training Class. He also introduced the historical course of Beijing Jiaotong University and the development situations of School of Economics and Management, faculty forces, MBA curriculum and other features of the school which has put forward the pertinent courses, selecting and appointing the excellent teaching staff to conduct the teaching activities based on the diversified teaching models to achieve the goal of the mutual interaction between the enterprise and the school through the teaching and studies and research by integrating the enterprise talent reserve goals with the MBA master cultivation solutions. Associate Dean Hao pointed out the importance of this enterprise- school cooperation program from the perspective of the position and advantages of BJTU in the national transportation university system and by combining the corporate features of Beijing Feb.7th Railway Transportation Equipment Co., Ltd. This training class represents the important initiatives demonstrating the corporate pioneering progress and the long-term strategic foresight, so the school provides the knowledge force to strongly promote the mutual development of both parties.
 
At last, Mr. Jia Xiangqiang, deputy chief engineer of Beijing Feb.7th Railway Transportation Equipment Co., Ltd. gave the students three major requirements and announced the end of the opening ceremony.

Beijing Feb.7th Railway Transportation Equipment Co., Ltd. is the base for the production and repair of the railway locomotives in Beijing. Currently, the company has 3000-odd sets of mechanical power equipment, covering a total land area up to 0.43 million m2, the workshop construction area up to 0.152 million m2. The company has 13 departments, 3 offices and 2 centers coupled with 12 production branch factories (sub-companies). The companyoso Communist Party-Masses System has 8 functional departments and offices. The company is staffed with 3491 employees, including 151 persons with the senior professional titles, 268 persons with intermediate professional titles; The Company has the total original value of its fixed assets up to 1092.53 million Yuan and the net value up to 658.25 million Yuan. By the end of 2010, the company manufactured a total number of more than 2400 diesel locomotives of all types, offering the supporting equipment and facilities to 18 railway bureaus nationwide and more than 100 large enterprises in other sectors and its products have been well sold to such countries as Cuba, Viet Nam, Angola, etc. The company has contracted for the sales of its large road maintenance machines to 10 rail grinding trains and 15 subgrade treatment trains with the total contract value up to 3.26669 billion Yuan. The technical upgrading and innovation for the electric locomotives and large road maintenance machinery has been completed, so the company has achieved the annual manufacturing capacity of 100 six-axis high-power AC drive electric locomotives and the annual manufacturing output capacity of 100 diesel locomotives, 60 large road maintenance machines and the annual maintenance and repair capacity of 80 diesel locomotives.
