LISS (International Conference on Logistics, Informatics and Service Science) International Academic Conference sponsored by our schoolos ICIR was officially identified by IEEE expert panel as one of the series conferences of IEEE (IEEE(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) a few days ago.
LISS International Academic Conference was launched by our schoolos ICIR in 2011 and four sessions of LISS International Academic Conference was respectively held in China, University of Reading (UK) and University of California , Berkeley, etc. In 2015, LISS will be sponsored by UPC. With the increasing international academic impact of LISS, the contribution volume will increase year by year from 250-odd papers in 2011 up to 430-odd papers in 2014 with the annual average growth rate at more than 20%. The contribution acceptance rate remains at less than 40%. More than 800 scholars from 40-odd countries and regions, particularly the USA, England, Canada and Spain, etc., have attended the previous LISS sessions.
LISS Conference has obtained the vigorous support from EU's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7), Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), K. C. Wong Education Foundation of Hong Kong, University of Reading, University of California, Berkeley and Springer-Verlag. As it has the extensive international impact and the higher academic level, the conference proceedings for this international conference have been first retrieved by EI, and it has been retrieved by ICIS-P (formerly ISTP) and EI, so academic ideas of approximately 80% authors of the conference research papers were widely exchanged through LISS Platform and were invited for publication by SSCI/SCI/EI Journals, thus having strongly promoted the further communication of the academic thoughts, methods and conclusions of the authors.
IEEE is currently the globally largest non-profit professional technical association with more than 0.4 million members from nearly 175 countries in the world. The papers published on IEEE involving such fields as Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer and Control Technology, Management Science and System Engineering, etc, accounts for nearly 30% of the total global high-level research papers. The international conferences sponsored or co-sponsored by IEEE have enjoyed the higher reputation and impact in the world for its higher standard and the rigorous requirements. Background: ICIR
The International Center for Informatics Research—ICIR represents an academic collective highly integrating the research team composed of Prof. Zhang Zhenji and Zhang Runtong, etc., with other professors from foreign universities like University of Reading, etc. In 2009, it was officially approved by Beijing Jiaotong University as a university-based academic research institution as well as the international research and teaching base highly featuring the mutual sharing of the cooperation resources, the talent joint education and cultivation and the cooperative scientific research. The cooperators of ICIR consist of more than 10 world-renowned universities, such as, UPC, University of Liverpool, University of California, Berkeley, etc., and Development Research Centre of the State Council (DRC), Chinese Academy of Sciences, Xinhua News Agency and other domestic research institutions.
Over years, ICIR has abided by the philosophy pStrengthen the international exchange and cooperation, promote the resources sharing and dissemination, enhance the research level and talent education qualityq, attracted and retained 30-odd professors and associate professors of various disciplines from the domestic and overseas universities and other institutions of our university and other universities, focusing on IT management, logistics management, logistics information and service science as the major research directions and conduct the scientific research and the talent education and cultivation. ICIR has sponsored more than 10 international academic conferences, launched LISS/IEIS International Academic Conferences, sponsored and co-sponsored 15 SCI/SSCI/EI retrieval periodicals, and also undertook WWF major and key scientific research programs and other major research programs funded by Beijing Federation of Social Science Circles and the international cooperation exchange programs under EU's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7). It is the design and contracting unit for Beijing City social science research center – Logistics Information Research Base and pLogistics, Information, Management and Service Scienceq disciplinary direction of Sino-EU doctoral school for Sustainability Engineering—SESE.
