On the afternoon of September 25, 2014, according to the work schedule of Economics College, the newly recruited young teacher, Doctor Xiao Lingling, gave an academic reported entitled pStochastic bottleneck capacity, merging traffic and morning commuteq at RM. 304 in East Siyuan Building, sharing a discussion and exchange related to the balanced travel problems during the morning peak hour traffic period for commuters, and the relevant teachers from Economics College attended the report.
In the report, Doctor Xiao Lingling, first of all, introduced the current research situations of the problems in selecting the morning peak hour travel action models for commuters based on the classic bottleneck model. In view of the uncertainty of the travel environment, she builds the confluence random bottleneck model with two starting points and one destination and supposes that the travel capacity of the confluence roads has the random degradation. Doctor Xiao Lingling conducts the comparative analysis of the selective mechanism for the commuterso travel time under the priority confluence strategy and the rate confluence strategy and the Braess paradox phenomena under the two separate confluence strategies.
Doctor Xiao Lingling graduated from School of Economics and Management of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (BUAA), mainly engaged in the research of the transport planning and management and Traffic behavioral economics and she is now an instructor of Economics Department of Economics College. Doctor Xiao Lingling has published 3 SCI retrieval academic papers on the internationally high-quality journals of the transport fields, one of which was published on pTransportation Scienceq, the flagship journal under INFORMS: The Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences.
