On October 26, The 12th Annual Conference of China Industrial Technology Association of Economics & Management Institutes and The First International Conference on Management, Innovation& Development (MID2014) sponsored by Business Administration College of BJTU School of Economics and Management was rounded off in Beijing.
China Industrial Technology Association of Economics & Management Institutes is the national first-class association founded in 1984. Assisted by National Nature Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and other relevant authorities, Business Administration College of BJTU School of Economics and Management prepared and identified MID2014 as a great event attracting the domestic and overseas scholars to jointly discuss the frontier Issues related to the Management, Innovation& Development.
MID2014 focused on the academic discussion of the theme pStrategic Management Innovation and Business Model Reconstructionq. Present at this conference were Prof. Chen Feng, deputy president of Beijing Jiaotong University, Prof. Zeng Xiaochun, Director-General of China Industrial Technology Association of Economics & Management Institutes, Prof. Xu Shoubo, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Zhang Qiusheng, Dean of BJTU School of Economics and Management, etc. The opening ceremony on 25th and the three heavyweight keynote speeches were presented all in English.
Xu Shoubo, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, put forward three suggests concerning the national management innovation and development at this conference: the closer combination with the national major strategic demands from the perspective of the national innovation; the formation of the innovative chain-driven industrial chain and the improvement of the capital chain collaborative innovation model from the perspective of the industrial innovation.
Content-rich lectures were scheduled for this international conference. Prof. ArieLewin from Duke University is a prestigious professor in the field of the strategy and international business as well as the chief editor of the foreign famous professional journal "Management and Organization Reviewq. He introduced the global mechanism for innovation. Prof. Chen Jin from Department of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Strategy, School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University gave a lecture entitled "Future of Management Innovation and Managementq. Associate Professor Eric Liu from University of Birmingham made a point of analyzing the trend of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Greater China, Two professors from University of Toulouse (in France) from which this yearos Nobel economics laureate graduated respectively introduced the coordination with the participants in the crisis management and the Humanitarian supply chain design. Prof. Gao Minghua, director of Governance and Enterprise Development Research Center of Beijing Normal University introduced the classified reform state-owned enterprises and the new progress in the development of mixed ownership.
