Delegation of members of Alliance of Chinese and European Business Schools (ACE) visited our school

On the morning of October 24, 2014, the delegation of members of Alliance of Chinese and European Business Schools (ACE) visited our school. Prof. Zhang Qiusheng, Dean of School of Economics and Management made a speech of welcome to the visiting delegation, warmly introducing the development history, organizational structure, discipline building and international exchange and cooperation of our school to the visiting guests. Prof. Wei Shen, Founder and Co-Chair of ACE expressed the heart-felt thanks to our school for the warm reception. The purpose of the visit of the delegation is to promote the cooperation and exchange between members of ACE, so our school will avail itself of this opportunity to conduct the cooperation with Business Schools of the members of ACE, including the academic activities and research, teacher exchange programs, student exchange programs and the joint cultivation and other cooperation initiatives. Zhang Mingyu, party secretary of School of Economics and Management, Prof. Zhang Li, associate dean, Prof. Cui Yongmei, associate dean, Prof. Hao Shengyue, associate dean, Prof. Shi Xianliang, associate dean, Porf. Gou Juanqiong, assistant to the Dean, Associate Professor Lu Xiyan, director of International Exchange Center were present at this activity.

Background
Alliance of Chinese and European Business Schools (ACE) is founded with the vigorous support from European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), which is a non-profit-making member organization, founded in 1971 and headquartered at Brussels, Belgium with its Asia-Pacific Headquarters based in Hong Kong. In the past 4 decades, EFMD has played a role as the catalyst among the global business schools, enterprises, government organizations and public institutions to promote the joint development of the global management education. Currently, EFMD has more than 800 member institutions in 82 counties, particularly including Wharton Business School, London Business School, Microsoft and Coca - Cola Companies, etc. ACE is composed of 10 first-class universities in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan and 10 European prestigious universities as the first alliance of the Chinese and European business schools. Different from the 1-to-1 cooperation model previously conducted between the business schools, ACE aims at relying on the university-running experience through this platform, the cooperation case development and data collection, joint study of the topics of the major impact on the business practice, mutual sharing of the teaching materials, promotion of the mutual visit among teachers and the student exchange to further improve the teaching quality and scientific research level of the Chinese and European business schools. BJTU School of Economics and Management is one of the founding members of ACE.
