On the afternoon of October 25, 2014, BJTU School of Economics and Management 2014 EMBA Degree-granting Ceremony was grandly held at 306 meeting room in East Siyuan Building.
Guo Xuemeng, director of Professional Degree Education Center of BJTU and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Prof. Xu Shoubo from BJTU, Dean Zhang Qiusheng from BJTU School of Economics and Management and Gong Shoujiang, director of BJTU EMBA Center attended the graduation ceremony. All 2014 EMBA graduates and working staff of EMBA Center and some friends and relatives of the graduates gathered together to witness this harvesting moment.
The ceremony was presided over by Prof. Hao Shengyue, associate dean of BJTU School of Economics and Management. Prof. Guo Xuemeng delivered a speech on behalf of the university to congratulate the EMBA students on their fulfillment of the two-year-long academic studies and research in the hope that all alumni could combine Knowing with actual doing and apply knowledge into practice in their future life. The school would continue to support and assist all alumni in all aspects in the hope that everyone could shoulder their respective social responsibility and contribute their efforts in improving the current social environment.
Later, Mr. Zhang Jingang, board chairman of Beijing Huizhibochuang Technology Co., Ltd., made a speech on behalf of all graduates. Board chairman Zhang Jingang expressed the heart-felt thanks to the school and all teachers on behalf of all graduates, summing up their improvement in respect of the theoretical level, ideological awareness and management philosophy, etc., in the past two years, and also hoped that all of them should flexibly apply the knowledge and bring their talents into full play in their careers and undertake the more important work and tasks, and also come back to their Alma Mater on a regular basis to report their ideological and career progress and achievements.
Prof. Hao Shengyue, associate dean of BJTU School of Economics and Management announced the university excellent thesis awards, the school excellent thesis awards, the awards for study stars, the management elite awards and the name list of the excellent EMBA tutors. Prof. Xu Shoubo presented the awards for the university excellent thesis, the school excellent thesis and the awards for study stars; Guo Xuemeng, director of Professional Degree Education Center of BJTU, presented the management elite awards and the awards for the excellent EMBA tutors.
Associate Dean Hao Shengyue announced the name list of the graduates earning their degrees. Prof. Guo Xuemeng and Academician Xu Shoubo presented the EMBA Degree Certificates to the graduates.
Prof. Zhang Qiusheng, Dean of School of Economics and Management presented the commemorative rings to the graduates and also gave the graduation message and blessing to them.
After the ceremony, the VIP guests, leaders and graduates attending this ceremony got together in Tianyou Hall for a group photo.
In 2014, there were altogether 85 students with better academic performances and going through their degree paper oral defense, thus having obtained EMBA degree. Since 2004, there have been altogether 890 graduates having obtained EMBA degree.
