On November 25, 2014, BJTU School of Economics and Management and Insurance Institute of China successfully held the conference at RM. 611 in East Siyuan Building, which was presided over by Shi Xianliang, associate dean of School of Economics and Management.

 
Mr. Zhang Qiusheng, Dean of  School of Economics and Management, and Mr. Yao Qinghai, chairman of Insurance Institute of China, jointly attended this conference and delivered their respective speeches. Dean Zhang Qiusheng gave the guests a detailed introduction of features and advantages of School of Economics and Management, particularly in respect of seven aspects, the profound discipline foundation, first-class faculty, complete courses, specialty system, strong scientific and technical research strength and extensive and deep social service, etc., and also sincerely hoped that the school could obtain the support from Insurance Institute of China and the long-term cooperation could be thus built between two sides.

 

Dr. Yao Qinghai, chairman of Insurance Institute of China, gave an account of the closer connection between School of Economics and Management and Insurance Institute of China, introducing the significant role and deeper impact exerted by the insurance in our modern society. He remarked that School of Economics and Management and Insurance Institute of China should establish the deeper and closer strategic cooperative partnership, which will be of the realistic significance for the development of Chinaos insurance sectors and also the realistic requirements for active scientific and technical research in the insurance sectors and the cultivation of more talents for the insurance sectors. 

 

Present at the conference were also Mr. Zhang Lingwei, deputy secretary general of Insurance Institute of China, Mr. Xu Bin, expert of Preparatory Group of Secretariat of CIRC Major Decision-making Expert Committee, Mr. Guo Yongli, expert of Secretariat of Insurance Institute of China and many teachers from Social Service and Alumni Office of School of Economics and Management, China Center for Industrial Security Research and its Postdoctoral Workstation, Finance Department and Economics Department.
