Special Report of Series of Frontier Lectures of Business Administration College entitled Road for Academic Growth

On November 27, 2014, an academic lecture entitled "Face-to-Face Exchange with Masters" was held at the Science Hall of Business Administration College. Dr. Feng Haifa, Ph.D. supervisor and director general of Economy Bureau of the CPC Central Committee Policy Research Office made an academic report entitled "Macroeconomic Situations and Policy Direction", which was presided over by Prof. Zhang Wensong, dean of Business Administration College.
Prof. Feng Haifa thought that under the new situations of China's Macro economy in the superposition of three separate phases (Growth speed shifting phase, structural adjustment Throes Phase and digestion phase of the early stage stimulus), the economic fast growth will be a new normal condition and the three types of developments (the scientific development of respecting the economic rules, the sustainable development of respecting the natural rules and the inclusive development of respecting the social rules) will become the new requirements, so it is necessary to seek the new means or approaches of the mini stimulus (Interval adjustment and control, directional adjustment and control, directional reduction of the deposit reserve rate, and directional reduction of tax rate), achieve six breakthroughs in the policy direction of the Macroeconomic reform (the decisive roles played by the market in the resources allocation, the status equality of the private economy and the public economy, the government's further streamlining administration and instituting decentralization, granting more property rights to farmers, promotion of the new-type urbanization and the implementation of the innovative-driven development strategy). 
The CPC Central Committee Policy Research Office is the top Thinktank of the Communist Party of China, professionally devoted to the drafting of the political theories, policy and documents to the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee. Dr. Feng Haifa participated in the drafting of "Decisions" of the 3rd Plenary Session of the 17th CPC Central Committee, the report of the 18th National CPC Congress, decisions of 4th Plenary Session of the 17th CPC Central Committee and Document NO.1 of the Central Government, thus having the higher theoretical qualities and policy research level.
After the close of the report, Prof. Feng Haifa conducted the interactive exchange with the teachers and students, answering the questions raised by the teachers and students concerning the economic cycle, resources allocation, etc. Prof. Feng Haifa interpreted China's Macroeconomic situation and the major policy directions in a humorous and witty manner, popular and easily acceptable language with the easily accessible and thorough analysis. Prof. Feng Haifa's lecture involved the high-end and forward-looking perspective and the abundant contents, thus having received the high praises from the teachers and students.
This report is one of the annual reports of series of lectures entitled "Road for Academic Growth" our of "Road for Student Growth in three major sectors" highly recommended by Business Administration College, which consists of activities for "Road for Academic Growth", "Road for Career Growth" and "Road for Entrepreneurial Growth" initiated by Business Administration College. In view of "Road for Academic Growth", the well-experienced domestic and overseas high-end scholars are invited to guide the young teachers and postgraduates at our college to publish the high-level academic papers, apply for the high-level projects financially supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and National Social Science Fund, etc; in view of "Road for Career Growth", the professional managers who have gained the fast growth after their university graduation are invited to interpret and analyze the road for career growth for students of our college to facilitate them "to know themselves and the society, exhibit themselves, manage themselves for the self-growth"; In view of "Road for Entrepreneurial Growth", the successful entrepreneurs are invited to systematically interpret the way for successful business operation to stimulate the entrepreneurial awareness and entrepreneurial passion of the university students and enhance their conscientious and purpose-oriented studies.
