Dr. Dou Donghui, associate professor of Psychology Department of Central University of Finance and Economics visited our school for an academic exchange on November 11, delivering an academic report entitled pStudies on Classics and Frontier of Economic Psychologyq, which was presided over by Li Hongchang, the party secretary of College of Economics and attended by dozens of experts and scholars, including Prof. Zhao Jian, Prof. Lin Xiaoyan, Prof. Feng Hua and Prof. Bo Wei, etc.

 

 Dr. Dou Donghui spelt out the development origin of the Economic Psychology and the performances in the economic studies and research. First of all, he explained the origins of the Experimental Economics and Economic Psychology and also conducted the conceptual analysis of Anchoring Effect, Deterministic effect, Reflection effect, Disposition Effect, Loss Aversion, obsession of the small probability event and Reference Dependence; secondly, he explained the development frontiers of Experimental Economics and Economic Psychology, conducting the rational analysis of the psychological account (the money fungibility and non-fungibility of the psychological account), Endowment Effect, Control Illusion (Skill scenarios and random scenarios, etc.), and so on. Thirdly, he explained the frontier of Economic Psychology, including the embodiment Economics and the impact of the economy on the individual Psychology and behaviors and the Big Data Analysis of the economic behaviors. Fourthly, he cited a number of cases for the specific analysis. The report made by Dr. Dou Donghui broadened the vision of the teachers in College of Economics, thus having won the general recognition for the wonderful interaction and study cases.

 

After the report, Dr. Dou Donghui shared the interactive exchange with the scholars, particularly conducting the heated discussion over the research directions, research focal points and the empirical research methods of Experimental Economics and Economic Psychology, etc.
