During November 27-28, 2014, p6th China MPAcc Education Development Forumq was co-sponsored by National Steering Committee of Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc) and BJTU and grandly held at BJTU. This forum aimed at further promoting the MPAcc teaching case research and development, improving the case teaching quality and enhancing the experience exchange among teachers and between teachers and students. The theme for this forum was involved with MPAcc Teaching Case discussion, M&A teaching discussion, teachers and alumni experience sharing and exchange.
Present at this forum were VIP guests and leaders from the Ministry of Finance, members of National Steering Committee of Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc), authors contributing their cases to 6th China MPAcc Education Development Forum, the leaders in-charge and office staff of the relevant MPAcc Program cultivation units, teachers of relevant courses of MPAcc Program and the industrial friends and practitioners, 200-odd participants all told. Mr. Ouyang Zongshu, vice director of National Steering Committee of Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc), vice director of Accounting Department of Ministry of Finance, and Prof. Yu Zujun, vice president of BJTU, made their respectively speeches at the opening ceremony.
This forum comprised two parts, respectively Main Forum and Parallel Forums. Main Forum included one theme report and two theme forums. The theme report entitled pReview of a Decade-long MPAcc Education and its Prospectq was given by Prof. Wang Huaning, secretary general of National Steering Committee of Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc). The two theme forums were involved with the lecture entitled pCase Development and Case Teaching- taking the awarded cases as the study caseq and the lecture entitled pInterpretation to nMaster of Professional Accounting Degree Thesis Guidanceoq given by Prof. Zhang Junrui, a member of National Steering Committee of Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc). Main Form not only generalized and summarized the development history of MPAcc in the past decade but also conducted the key professional report about the case development and teaching and the degree thesis. The parallel forums were involved with four separate forums, respectively the discussion of the financial accounting and audit cases, the discussion of the financial management and management accounting cases, the sharing of teachers and alumni and M&A teaching. Parallel forums were involved with the sharing and typical comment of 16 delicately selected excellent teaching cases from the financial accounting and auditing specialty, financial management and management accounting specialty. Tow teachers and two alumni shares their teaching cases and experience with the abundant contents involving M&A practice and policy and the M&A teaching sharing, etc.
This forum is rich in contents and full of excellent teaching cases, so the participants have shared the in-depth exchange and benefited a lot. This forum is not only a summary of the decade-long MPAcc education but also a good chance for the display and sharing of the decade-long MPAcc education development achievements. It is deeply believed that MPAcc Education will have a better and better prospect based on the solid foundation of the previous decadeos development.
