At 10:00-11:30 on the morning of December 3, 2014, Signing Ceremony of Publication Contract of Exquisite Series of Business Administration Textbooks between BJTU School of Economics and Management and China Machine Press was grandly held at RM 720 in East Siyuan Building.
Prof. Zhang Qiusheng, Dean of BJTU School of Economics and Management delivered a welcome speech, introducing the development condition of the school. He emphasized that the primary task for the universities was to educate and cultivate talents. However, one of the main carriers was the exquisite textbooks. Also, he encouraged the teachers to prepare for the work in a practical and down-to-earth attitude to promote the vigorous development of the business administration discipline. Wang Lei, vice president of Huazhang Branch of China Machine Press and vice general manager of Beijing Huazhang Graphics & Information Co., Ltd. introduced the basic situation of the press and gave the full confirmation about the down-to-earth academic attitude and the practical academic style, and also expressed that the press was sure to make the greatest efforts in building the good textbook system and the publishing work. Wu Yajun, director of Planning Department of China Machinery Press made the specific interpretation of the editing requirements about the textbooks. Dean Zhang Qiusheng signed pStrategic Cooperation Framework Agreementq on behalf of School of Economics and Management with China Machinery Press which later signed the textbook building agreement with all would-be authors.

The ceremony was presided over by Prof. Xiao Xiang, party secretary and associate dean of College of Business Administration. Present at the signing ceremony were Prof. Zhang Li, associate dean of School of Economics and Management, Prof. Zhang Wensong, associate dean of College of Business Administration, Prof. Tang Fangcheng, associate dean, Associate Professor Zhang Jinxin, Prof. Ma Zhong, director of Accounting Department, Prof. Wan Xiao, director of Business Management Department, Prof. Wu Wenbing and other authors involved in he building of the Exquisite Series of Business Administration textbooks. Chen Lifen, general manger of Marketing Center of China Machinery Press, and Chen Zhuyao, an editor of Planning Department also attended the signing ceremony.
The exquisite series of Business Administration textbook building represented one of the key tasks of the Business Administration Cluster Building Activity organized by Beijing Municipal Education Commission, involving 10 books, particularly including pPrinciples of Managementq, pStrategic Managementq, pHuman Resources Managementq, pFinancial Managementq, pAccountingq, etc. Most teachers from College of Business Administration would participate in the preparation and editing work of these textbooks. It is expected that the series of textbooks will be fully prepared prior to the end of 2015, which would be officially published in early 2016. With a view to guarantee the high quality of this series of textbooks, pTextbook Editing and Review Committeeq was set up. The major editor of each course is a member of the State Department Discipline Review Group and a member of Teaching Guidance Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education. The building of the Business Administration series of exquisite textbooks will greatly boost the improvement of the building capacity of the Business Administration Discipline, the social reputation and the impact!
