At 14:30-16:30 on December 4, 2014, an academic lecture entitled "Face-to-Face Exchange with Masters" sponsored by Postgraduate Work Department and held by at SD306 of Business Administration College. Luo Shangzhong, director of the Office of China Soft Science Research Institute,gave an academic report entitled pInnovation-driven and Transformational Developmentq, which was presided over by Prof. Zhang Wensong, dean of Business Administration College.

Director Luo Shangzhong thought that the implementation of the innovation-driven development strategy required the cultivation of more innovation-oriented talents, the creation of more innovation environment and more innovation results, thus producing better economic benefits. The transformation of enterprises must be based on the industrial upgrading driven by the product innovation and the improvement of the core competitiveness of the brand innovation, the change of the family-based management model through the institutional innovation, the fully immersion into the globalization through the business model innovation and the use of the platform economy based on the platform innovation of the chambers of commerce.

 

Director Luo Shangzhong is responsible of the soft science management in China Soft Science Research Institute, currently the vice director of the Office of China Soft Science Research Institute, vice secretary general of CSCF, vice secretary general of Urban Development Research Center of Chinese Wisdom, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of pChina Information Times(Smart Cities)q. China Soft Science Research Institute was founded on December 23, 1994 when the National Soft Science Work Conference was convened. The director-general of the institute was Prof. Cheng Siwei, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and President of Central Committee of China Democratic National Construction Association. Authorized by Ministry of Science and Technology, China Soft Science Research Institute is responsible for handling the initialization, stage verification and Conclusion Appraisal of the applied projects for the general projects under pthe National Soft Science Research Programq, and is also responsible for convening pChina Soft Science Academic Annual Conferenceq and pChina Soft Scienceq, a journal of China Soft Science Research Institute.

 

After the report, Director Luo Shangzhong shared the interactive exchange with the teachers and students, answering the questions raised by teachers and students, so his report was highly praised and well accepted.
