January 11-12, 2015, a survey team comprising teachers from Department of Finance of School of Economics and Management conducted a survey in Shanghai in preparation for establishment of academic degree program. The survey team visited the School of Finance of Shanghai University of Economics and Finance and Shanghai School of Advanced Finance of Shanghai Jiaotong University.
 

Executive vice president of the School of Finance of Shanghai University of Economics and Management professor Liu Liya explained to the survey team the schoolos MD-PhD program and enrollment and training of masters of finance, how the school implements the academic degree program and identified the challenges facing the school. Head of master degree program of Shanghai School of Advanced Finance of Shanghai Jiaotong University professor Zhang Chunwei and head of PhD program professor Ju Nengjiu explained to the survey team the objectives of masters and PhD in finance programs and the faculty of the school.
 

This survey provided us with deep understanding of the strengths and reforming efforts of other schools as well as valuable insights. The survey team realized that the Schoolos academic degree program in finance has a long way to go and greater efforts must be made to build up discipline and make our school a name brand of financial education.
