On January 18, 2015, 2015 BJTU MBA New Year Forum was grandly convened at the Science Hall of BJTU. This forum was sponsored by Beokoomg Jiaotong University School of Economics and Management and organized by MBA Education Center, MBA Association, focusing on the theme pInterconnection and Enlightening Innovationq and highlighting the development trend of the national economy, carrying forward the education philosophy ofq Knowing and Doingq of BJTU. VIP guests and business elites were kindly invited to get together with the MBA students of BJTU to jointly discuss the hot issues related to the current economic situations and explore for the road of innovative business start-up and the opportunities and challenges of the future national economic development trend.
 

Present at this forum were Prof. Zhang Qiusheng, dean of School of Economics and Management, Hao Shengyue, associate professor and associate dean, Prof. Tang Fangcheng of School of Economics and Management, Zuo Li, associate professor and director of BJTU MBA Education Center, Prof. Eric Fang from College of Business of University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), Zhang Xiyong, general manager of Beijing Automotive Group Co., Ltd., Li Xinmin, deputy head of Preparation Group of the former national cable TV network company and the director-general of Guizhou Bureau of Radio and Television, Yang Chen, chief economist of Convoy China, Cui Hanwen, senior expert of Ali Research Institute and executive director of pAli Business Reviewq, Duan Gang, vice general manager and senior media executive of Beijing Media Corporation Ltd., He Rong, founder of ONLLA Group, president of Beijing Municipal Chamber of Commerce (BMCC), instructor of Tsinghua University Business Start-up Camp, Ji Cheng, board chairman of Carradine, Jia Hongbing, Executive Producer of AUTOR, etc. This forum was presided over by Liu Changjiang, a schoolfellow of Beijing Jiaotong University in Grade 2002, business director of Movie Channel Huacheng Movie and TV Teaching Program Co, Ltd., and Zuo Li, associate professor of MBA Education Center, also gave a brief introduction to all guests present at the forum.
 

Zhang Qiusheng, dean of BJTU School of Economics and Management, delivered a warm speech at the forum, expressing his kind-hearted welcome and New Year greetings to all guests. He continued, we are in the era of the constant change and also usher in the opportunity of "Interconnection". We will identify pInterconnectionq as the common mission and pOne Road and One Beltq as the key work and the national duties as our own duties. Action is the source of knowledge while knowledge guides the practice.

Zhang Xiyong, general manager of Beijing Automotive Group Co., Ltd., made the speech entitled pStrategic Thinking of Auto enterprises against the Internet Backgroundq. He said, the brand-new development model has been developed and the Internet has overturned the traditional business model, so the traditional information service enterprises will take a lead in making a breakthrough by using the Internet and then the traditional wholesale industry will be overturned, followed by the traditional finance industry and the manufacturing industry. Internet will cause a great challenge to the auto manufacturers. 10 years ago, cars were the sofa with wheals, but now they are pthe 5th Screenq in our daily life and have become the terminal of the mobile terminal. We must challenge the brand-new competitors, so we will try to satisfy the expectation of the external industries and must establish the new customer relations and these customers are the netizens. We can have the bold imagination about the smart car business model: cars will be the combination of pSoftware + Hardwareq. He pointed out that the optimal principle for the auto enterprises to be connected with the Internet was the platform strategy. He also shared with participants the corresponding strategy of Beijing Automotive Group Co., Ltd.

Li Xinmin, deputy head of Preparation Group of the former national cable TV network company and the director-general of Guizhou Bureau of Radio and Television, gave a profound speech about the media integration, introducing that the two major sources of the TV and Radio incomes, including the advertising and Cable TV charges, which dropped obviously. Radio and TV fail to attract the younger audiences who pay more attention to the leading position and excellent resources at the first time. Now the traditional mainstream media are in the state of staff saturation and the traditional media have the greater pressure in the process of integration with the new media, so we should have a good command of the optimal window period, roughly 3-5 years. The rise or fall of any industry or enterprise is ultimately determined by its social value. The traditional media still have the indispensable social value. We can make use of the Internet to achieve the industrial sublimation, promote the media integration and cope with the challenge of the new media. 

Yang Chen, chief economist of Convoy China, presented a wonderful speech entitled pInterconnection in Finance Fieldq, starting from the RMB internalization, the difference between the financial reform and O2O traditional financial industry and the Internet Finance, further expounding the reform confronting the financial field, say, banks would introduce the private capital, encourage the private banks and the Internet financial innovation. At the same time, he shared some new opinions, ideas and new perspectives with the students, such as, new energy vehicles driven by Graphene technology, Development of hydrogen energy technology in Japan, and this kind of new concepts are very popular in the industrial sectors; the venture capital funds, risk capital and Angel Fund are bold enough to do a better job than banks; Alibaba was officially listed at the US stock exchange, which represented a failure of the reform of Chinaos financial system; The APP condition of each cell phone will determine the wealth condition of each individual person, the social status, knowledge level and circle of friends, etc.
 

Prof. Eric Fang from College of Business of University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) delivered a speech entitled pDemise of traditional enterprises against the Internet Age Innovationq. He pointed out, pInterconnectionq is open and the open society builds us a more stable social eco-system. Win-win cooperation will take the place of competition, which is the direction worthy of our deep thinking. Interconnection means the lower of the marginal cost, so we should establish the platform thinking, control the cost with innovation, promote the innovation with the cost restraint; the true core of the innovation is the free thoughts and the lenient spirit. The self-revolution requires more courage, so we should have the final through to gamble for the final win at the greater expense in the transform of the traditional industries.
