Appraisal Meeting for the Conclusion of the first batch of case development project was smoothly held

On January 30, 2015, the appraisal meeting for the conclusion of the first batch of case development project of School of Economics and Management and the appointment ceremony for the case development and teaching Steering Committee was smoothly held at SD 720, which was presided over by Cui Yongmei, associate dean of School of Economics and Management.
 
Prof. Zhu Fangwei from Department of Management and Economics of Dalian University of Technology (DUT), Prof. Zhou Ning from School of Economics and Management of Beihang University, Associate Professor Pan Lixin and other experts from other universities, and Prof. Ma Zhong, Prof. Ye Shujun and Associate Professor Gu Yuanxun and other teachers from the school have been appointed as members of the case development and teaching steering committee.   After the opening ceremony, Cui Yongmei, first of all, thanked all members for their strong support to the schoolos case development and teaching work all along, introducing the relevant situations related to the case development and teaching of the school in the hope that all teacher could identify this appraisal meeting as a new starting point to continue to study and improve the case development level in a bid to have their cases successfully selected into the database of pTop 100 Best Casesq, thus strongly boosting the improvement of the entire level of the case teaching and case research in our school.
 
12 project responsible persons including Prof. Shi Meixia and Associate Professor Guo Chunfang, etc., reported their respective case development results, and members gave the full comments and proposals about each case, particularly offering the practical workable ideas and suggestions as to how to focus on the contradictions and conflicts, how to make a good story of the case, how to guide the students for the discussion in actual teaching, how to achieve the expected results in the case discussion and how to obtain the corporate authorizations, etc., particularly from the selection of the topics for the original cases, the identification of the case types, the search of the development materials and the case writing.
 
The Case Development Steering Committee conducted the overall diagnosis of the current problems in the case development and gave the specific improvement comments case by case, so the teachers attending the meeting reached the consensus that they did benefit a lot and successively expressed that they would positively communicate with all members and continue to amend and improve their cases in a bid to creatively devise the satisfactory cases as soon as possible.
