On the morning of March 17, 2015, BJTU School of Economics and Management held an opening ceremony for BJTU Shanghai Railway Bureau Project Management Engineering Masteros Program in Room 821 of Siyuan Building.
Leaders and distinguished guests present at the opening ceremony include BJTU President Ning Bin, executive deputy director of Shanghai Railway Bureau Zhou Hongyun, BJTU Vice President Yu Zujun, head of personnel department and organization department of Shanghai Railway Bureau Gao Song, executive vice president of Graduate School of BJTU Liu Zhigang, director of presidentos office of BJTU Zhao Peng, president of BJTU School of Economics and Management Zhang Qiusheng, vice president of BJTU School of Economics and Management Hao Shengyao, head of technologist management and training section of personnel department of Shanghai Railway Bureau Li Zhiqiang and director of engineering master center of BJTU School of Economics and Management Fu Shaochuan. 39 students from institutes and companies affiliated to Shanghai Railway Bureau attended the ceremony. The ceremony was hosted by head of personnel department and organization department of Shanghai Railway Bureau Mr. Gao Song.
President Ning Bin welcomed new students on behalf of the school, saying that BJTU paid much attention to this cooperation with Shanghai Railway Bureau and the inauguration of this project management engineering masteros program is an important part of the strategic partnership agreement between Shanghai Railway Bureau and BJTU, which reflects the strategic vision of Shanghai Railway Bureauos leadership, deepens the connection and mutual understanding between BJTU and Shanghai Railway Bureau and sets a good example of university-industry collaboration.
Executive deputy director of Shanghai Railway Bureau Zhou Hongyun extended heartfelt thanks to BJTU in his speech on behalf of the Bureau and the party committee, emphasizing that this training will help Shanghai Railway Bureau grow scientifically and build a high-level technical team, providing young employees of the Bureau with an opportunity to learn and improve their professional capabilities. He extended congratulations to 39 students enrolled to the program through recommendation, selection and exam and required these students to fully understand the necessity and importance of the talent-based business growth strategy of the Bureau and effectively enhance the motivation to learn on their own and the sense of urgency. Students are expected to learn effectively and efficiently by performing well in classroom, homework assignments, exams and dissertations, to make full use of the educational resources of the school to broaden their horizon, to improve their professional capabilities and party spirit and live up to the expectations of the school leadership, the Bureauos leadership and themselves. At last, Zhou expected to strengthen the connection between the school and the Bureau, pool together high-quality resources, form synergies and write a new chapter of school-industry collaboration and to improve the technological capabilities of the Bureau.
President of BJTU School of Economics and Management Zhang Qiusheng thanked Shanghai Railway Bureauos leadership for its trust in the school and vowed to provide the best possible faculty for the program, bring related educational resources of the School and BJTU into the learning environment for these students for high-quality service and to make this program a high-quality and milestone training program with the support of related departments of the School. A student of the Program Li Yeming delivered a speech on behalf of all students, thanking the leaderships of both sides for generous support and vowing to live up to the expectations of the Bureauos leadership, comply with the rules and regulations of the school, work together as a team, set objectives, make use of the resources available on the campus and apply acquired knowledge into practice in order to glorify Shanghai Railway Bureau and BJTU.
Head of personnel department and organization department of the Bureau Gao Song raised the following requirements for the students: cherish this valuable opportunity by applying as much time as possible towards learning activities, contribute to the corporate image of the Bureau by strictly complying with the rules and regulations of the school, and think hard about the purpose, contents and methodology of learning to live up to the expectations of the Bureau, the school and students themselves.
