At 7:00 a.m. on March 30, 2015, School of Economics and Management organized the Flag-raising Ceremony under the theme "Practicing Socialist Core Value and Try to be honest and friendly new youth". Dean Zhang Qiusheng, Wen Yingchun, vice party secretary, and all other teachers of the Youth League and league members at all grades attended the flag-raising ceremony.
With the majestic and resonant national anthem, teachers and students looked on in deference of the slowly rising the five-starred red flag. Then, Chen Yuren, a student representative, also one of Top 10 Young Volunteers of BJTU in 2014 and the leader of Economics College Young Volunteers Service Club, shared his own example in practicing the socialist core values in his daily life. He called on other students to start from the daily duties and the minor work to positively cultivate and practice the socialist core values in a bid to build themselves into the honest and friendly new youth.
At last, Dean Zhang Qiusheng gave a speech, in which he expatiated on the theoretical connotations and the historic significance of the socialist core values. Combining the actual development of the college, he also showed the students the road and the clear direction for future development. Plus, he encouraged the students to have the strong beliefs, conducted the assiduous studies and research to develop themselves into the pioneers and pathfinders in the national industries in the near future.
