On April 19 afternoon, Deputy General Director of National Railway Administration Fu Xuanyi visited our university as a guest of Beijing Jiaotong University Forum and made an excellent lecture circled pSeveral issues of railway transportation economy. He unveiled the nameplate for the Research Center for Vocational Adaptation of Staff in Key Positions of Railway Traffic. After the lecture, he visited our school and gave some instructions, accompanying by President Zhang Qiusheng, Deputy Director Bai Mingzhou of Department of Science and Technology, and Deputy Director Bai Mingzhou of Department of Humanities and Social Sciences of School of Economics and Management.
 

President Zhang Qiusheng first gave a warm welcome to Fu Xuanyios visit, and made a detailed introduction to the scientific research, teaching and laboratory construction of School of Economics and Management. As for issues such as how to do scientific research of railway development, President Zhang Qiusheng and Deputy General Director Fu Xuanyi made a deep exchange and discussion and reached a consensus. Then Prof. Ye Long, Director of Research Center for Vocational Adaptation of Staff in Key Positions of Railway Traffic, gave General Director Fu Xuanyi an introduction to the developing goal, aim and main research directions of the center. He also explained and demonstrated operating principles and methods of relative experimental equipment of the center.
 

General Director Fu Xuanyi gave a high appraisal to the scientific research and construction of laboratory of our school, appreciated the selecting and testing work for bullet train drivers of the Research Center for Vocational Adaptation of Staff in Key Positions of Railway Traffic. He also expressed hope for the School of Economics and Management to get more achievements in railway development in future and gave many pieces of constructive suggestion for future development.
 

Research Center for Vocational Adaptation of Staff in Key Positions of Railway Traffic (hereinafter referred to as the Center) is a research institution specified in vocational adaptation of staff in key positions of railway traffic backed by disciplinary and research advantages of Beijing Jiaotong University, which is also the only special institution bearing adaptive driving test of bullet train drivers for National Railway Administration and China Railway. The main functions of the Center include: (1) vocational adaptation test of selecting bullet drivers, (2) research and create test standards and platform of staff in key positions of railway traffic, (3) research and create qualified talent model of staff in key positions such as bullet drivers, mechanists and dispatchers and evaluating system of vocational adaptation, (4) research and design psychological quality training system, working pressure evaluating and relieving system, etc., (5) research key problems and solutions of vocational development of skilled people of railway traffic, and (6) promote and serve disciplinary construction and talent training of the university.
