On May 4, 2015, Planning Office of Philosophy and Social Science of Beijing issued an official document entitled pNotice of publishing checking results of research bases construction of philosophy and social science of Beijing and initiating new period of construction by Planning Office of Philosophy and Social Science of Beijingq, announcing that during check of relative research bases constructions in March 2015 by organized expert group, Research Base of Beijing Transport Development was check as excellent. Excellent bases will enter next construction cycle directly. It has been the third consecutive times that Research Base of Beijing Transport Development was checked as excellent. 

The Notice presented feedback of checking expert group of Research Base of Beijing Transport Development in an independent attachment, which paid prominent evaluation to advantages in the base construction. Meanwhile, it pointed out problems and shortages in current base construction and gave advice for next period of base construction. 

As a research base of philosophy and social science of Beijing, Research Base of Beijing Transport Development was established in 2005 by approval of Planning Office of Philosophy and Social Science of Beijing and Education Committee of Beijing, which relied on School of Economics and Management of Beijing Jiaotong University. Currently, director of the base is Prof. Lin Xiaoyan, chief scientist is Prof. Rong Chaohe. Since its establishment, the base has maintained and formed research advantages in comprehensive transport, urban transport, transport economy and modern logistics, and has formed a research team with good research ability and combined with different ages. Research achievements of the base focused on key issues and hotspots of national economic and social development with countermeasure studies, receiving attention from relative government departments and leaders, promoting scientific policy making actively and gaining some social fame and influence.
