At 7 ooclock of May 31, final contest of theme style display contest of "Affections for hometown and beauty in alien land" hosted by Characteristic Theory Study Society of School of Economics and Management was put on stage of Tianyou Hall. The contest invited Wang Shuting graduated from Department of Musicology of China Conservatory of Music, President of Characteristic Theory Study Society of our university, Director of Lamp Music Coalition, Director of Theatrical Troupe and Director of Qiyue Comic Troupe as judges. Leaders of hometown teams that did not enter the final contest and hometown union of provinces and cities played as public judges. Deputy Party Secretary of School of Economics and Management Wen Yingchun, Wang Yisheng of Financing Center of the university, Secretary-Generals of Characteristic Theory Study Societies of each school, teachers in Youth League of School of Economics and Management and Presidents of Characteristic Theory Study Societies of each school attended as guests.
In order to fully display customs of every region, the contest set field display segment. Eight final contest teams laid display tables in front of Tianyou Hall gate, introduced hometown scenes and shared hometown delicious food to students. There were many people in front of the display tables. All kinds of manual articles and attractive delicious food as well as pBeautiful hometownq calligraphy and painting display with Chinese style added more atmosphere of long history and deep culture of different regions.
At 7 ooclock at night, the final contest started formally. Each team displayed their own hometown scenes with wonderful performance. No matter they were through story of Shandong Team, red memory of Jiangxi Team, grassland song and dance charm of four seasons of Inner Mongolia Team, wonderful antiphonal songs of Guangxi Team, or humorous stage theater of Tangseng and his students of Sichuan and Chongqing Teams, sky flying dance of Shaanxi, Gansu and Ningxia Teams, music with great momentum of Yanbian Team, historical change dance of Tibetan Team, they all made the scene atmosphere rise a lot. Stay play, musical instrumental play, dance and singing, the wonder was continued as well as enthusiastic yelling of audience and good comments of the host pushed the atmosphere to peaks one by one. Specially invited guests sang songs of Royal and Love Each Other and added more wonder to the evening party. Finally, the Tibetan Team won the championship and other teams got the second or the third place by their wonderful performance. This activity closed successfully.
"Beautiful hometown" activity was aimed at providing a platform for students from different regions and of difference national origins to communicate and promote friendship with each other, to talk about the same hometown with each other and to understand customs of different regions of China. The activity not only enriched spare time life of students, but also strengthen their abilities of communication and demonstrating themselves during preparation of their shows. In the activity, students expressed their love for hometown, experienced the youth responsibilities one their shoulders, embraced their dreams and were determined to contribute their youth and power for realization of Chinese Dream.
