On July 9, the fifth national summer camp of excellent college students of School of Economics and Management of Beijing Jiaotong University closed successfully.
 

This summer camp was hosted by School of Economics and Management in the New Normal of pMass entrepreneurship and innovationq. It was an important countermeasure of Beijing Jiaotong University in its action of implementing medium-long plan outline of education and Plan 2011, selecting and training innovative talents and improving training quality of graduate students. Vice President and Prof. Jing Tao of Graduate School attended the opening ceremony and gave address. Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Prof. Xu Shoubo, Member of Disciplinary Assessment Group of the State Council and National Famous Teacher, Prof. Rong Chaohe attended the camp opening ceremony. President of School of Economics and Management, Prof. Zhang Qiusheng, announced opening of the camp and gave address. The camp opening ceremony was hosted by Associate Prof. Hao Shengyue, Vice President of School of Economics and Management.
 

In address, Jing Tao said that todayos world was in the stage of global innovation. pA strong torrent of entrepreneurship and innovation has come.q The innovative cause was calling for innovative talents. It was an important countermeasure of School of Economics and Management to hold the national summer camp of excellent college students in its action to explore integration of training of undergraduate, graduated and doctoral students and select and train first-class innovative talents. It has significance for Beijing Jiaotong University to create world famous first-class university. He asked the excellent college students attending this summer camp to actively participate in each activity, play the best level, improve understanding to our university and relative disciplines. He also hope students would realize their dream of going to Graduate School of our university.
 

Zhang Qiusheng gave an impromptu and enthusiastic speech in the opening ceremony. He said that School of Economics and Management was implementing trial integrated reform targeting at improvement of teaching quality and train of innovative talents. It was also taking the chance of international certification to enhance reform of independent selection and train mechanism of undergraduate and graduate students to further improve quality of student source. He gave a detailed introduction to the one hundred year history and development status of School of Economics and Management, elaborated their good vision and development strategy of discipline development and innovative talents training. He also expressed good hope for students future study and research.
 

School of Economics and Management of Beijing Jiaotong University has held national summer camp of excellent college students for four consecutive years and has received wide good acclaim from all sectors of society. The fifth summer camp in 2015 selected over 80 excellent college students from more than nationwide 50 colleges with 211 and 985 certifications. It lasted for four days, with contents of lectures and exchange of famous teachers, academic demonstration of excellent students, academic investigation and visit. After the opening ceremony, Prof. Rong Chaohe, Prof. Zhang Wensong and Prof. Liu Yisheng gave key presentations respectively on behalf of their disciplines. There were 10 presentations for each discipline and each camp member could give 10 minutes of academic demonstration and communication. This yearos summer camp covered three doctoral first class doctoral disciplinary sites of Applied economics, Industrial management and Management science and engineering. Through identification of innovative ability, 71 college students received certificate.
 

Summer camp participant students expressed that by attending the camp and listening to famous teacherso lectures and excellent studentso demonstration, they improved their knowledge about disciplinary frontiers, improved understanding and friendship among universities and students and enlarged their visions.
