Presidents Meeting 2016 of Alliance of Chinese and European Business Schools will be held in Beijing Jiaotong University

From July 17 to 18, 2015, on behalf of School of Economics and Management of Beijing Jiaotong University, President Zhang Qiusheng attended the Presidents Meeting 2015 of Alliance of Chinese and European Business Schools in School of Economics of Universitas Labacensis in Slovenia. The meeting discussed and approved vision, mission, values, membership and quality standards, membership dues and websites construction, discussed master training plan of Alliance of Chinese and European Business Schools based on Polytechnic University of Milan, discussed vision of industrial and commercial management doctor of Alliance of Chinese and European Business Schools based on Erasmus University Rotterdam, discussed plan of training European students based on Beijing Jiaotong University and Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and decided that Presidents Meeting 2016 of Alliance of Chinese and European Business Schools would be held in Beijing Jiaotong University from June 7 to 8, 2016.
 
During the meeting, President Zhang Qiusheng introduced newly opened English MBA project of Beijing Jiaotong University, expressed the idea of prior opening to members of the Alliance for students exchange and teacher appointment. He also had deep discussion about management structure and working mechanism of recently founded Global Supply Chains and Logistics Institute with Rotterdam Management School and about mutual cooperation with President and Prof. Peter Moizer of Business School of University of Leeds.
 
Presidents Meeting of Alliance of Chinese and European Business Schools was held once a year, taking turns between European and Chinese members of the Alliance. Alliance of Chinese and European Business Schools is a famous organization for exchange and cooperation of Chinese and European Business Schools, founded under initiation and organization of the late famous economist and President of Business School of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Cheng Siwei. Currently, the Alliance has been interactive mechanism of Chinese and European Business Schools under European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). Before the formal opening of Presidents Meeting 2015 of Alliance of Chinese and European Business Schools, participant presidents stood in silent tribute for Prof. Cheng Siwei. During the meeting, it had a short memorial ceremony for two deceased memberso presidents in last year.
