Graduation Ceremony of Summer School of Sino-EU Doctoral School for Logistics, Information, Management and Service Science

In the evening of August 30 2015, the graduation ceremony and Artistic Performance of the first Summer School of Sino-EU Doctoral School for Logistics, Information, Management and Service Science were held in BJTU.

 

On the graduation ceremony, Prof. Vicenc Fernandez from Technical University of Catalonia   and Prof. Li Yisong from BJTU, respectively delivered speeches on behalf of both parties. They fully confirmed the Ph.D candidates outstanding performance, and also awarded the graduation certificates to them. Later during the artistic performance part, students and professors from various countries togetherjointin games like Word Guessing and Rush for Stool, etc. The Chinese and international students also displayed their artistic characteristics.Their charming songs and excellent dance performances pushed the ceremony to a climax.

 

This years Summer School of Sino-EU Doctoral School for Logistics, Information, Management and Service Science was organized togetherby Postgraduate School of BJTU, International Education Exchange Center and International Cooperation Exchange, and prepared by ICIR. The outstanding teaching team includes Prof. Jose M Sallan, Prof. Vicenc Fernandez and Prof. OriolLordan from Technical University of Catalonia, Prof. Zhang Huimin from Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), Prof. Chen Junlong from Macau University, Prof. Zhang Ruitong from BJTU, Prof. GaoQinxiang and Teacher TuLingli. More than 40 Ph. D candidates from various countries and regions such as Spain, Italy, Slovenia, Romania, Pakistan, Hong Kong, Macao and Mainland China have participated this summer school.

 

The courses mainly focused on logistics, information, management and service science. The teachers systematically taughtthe Ph. D the research system of the social sciences, involving the research direction identification and the selection of the technical route in the research process, and the research methods. They also gave the specific guidance to the Ph. D candidates towards how to conduct the future scientific research based on their rich scientific research experiences in different countries and regions. In addition, the summer school particularly introduced China to the international students from the view of the Chinese culture and the Chinese language, to make the students further and better understand China. On the other hand, in order to balance theirstudy and rest, and also teach through lively activities, the summer school specially arranged some extracurricular activities off campus: the responsible teachers and Ph. D candidates visited State Key Laboratory of Rail Traffic Control and Safety.

 

Summer School of Sino-EU Doctoral School for Logistics, Information, Management and Service Science provides a cross-border academic exchange platform to the domestic students and also offers the foreign students a good opportunity to understand the Chinese culture and academic development.
