On October 11-13, 2019, the 7th International Conference on Transportation and Space-time Economics was held as scheduled in the School of Economics and Management, Beijing Jiaotong University. The conference began on the morning of October 12. Wang Jiaqiong, President of Beijing Jiaotong University, Wang Zhongyi, the general planner of Beijing Municipal Transportation Commission and others scholars attended the opening ceremony and gave a great support to the conference. Hua Guowei, vice president of School of Economics and Management of Beijing Jiaotong University, presided over the opening ceremony. This international conference focused on the theme of "sustainable development of urban transportation", and carry out exchanges from new travel mode, logistics innovation, regional transportation and land use, lifestyle, behavior and sustainable transportation choice, intelligent transportation technology, the impact of environmental and social factors on transportation and logistics, and sustainable transportation governance and policies.

Keynote speech 

This conference is dedicated to building a think tank platform integrating government, industry, education, research and application. It has successfully brought together Beijing traffic management department and industry association, domestic and foreign experts and scholars, domestic industry elites and launched intense discussions on the current situation and problems of the traffic industry, measures for sustainable development of urban traffic and traffic management systems. It focuses on the theme of "sustainable development of urban transportation", builds a think tank platform integrating government, industry, education, research and application, guided the development of urban transportation, gives advice and suggestions for the economic and social development of the capital, prefects the traffic of Beijing Tianjin Hebei metropolitan area, and helps the urbanization and sustainable development of transportation in large urban areas of China.
