The 5th Editor-in-Chief Face-to-Face Conference on Economics was successfully held in the School of Economics and Management of Beijing Jiaotong University from June 10 to June 19, 2025. The editors in chief of the six top journals in the field of Economics (American Economic Journal: Economic Policy, The Economic Journal, The Review of Economic Studies, The Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal of Health Economics, Journal of Public Economics) and domestic academic authorities gathered at the meeting to discuss the latest research results and academic trends in the field of economics. The first module was a series of six thematic seminars for chief editors, each of which specially invites one chief editor to share his or her up-to-date research and two well-known scholars at home and abroad in the same field to make in-depth comments. The second module is the general meeting of editors in chief. The six editors in chief gathered together to comprehensively analyze the positioning, characteristics, review process and requirements of each journal, and accurately identify the key focuses and pain points in academic writing and submission. With high-level positioning, cutting-edge themes, rich content, multi-dimensional interaction and innovative activity forms, the conference attracted more than 16000 participants, with a total viewing time of more than 9300 hours.
