On October 24, 2024, the alumni salon of the finance branch of the Alumni Association of Beijing Jiaotong University was held in the vice-chairman unit of Beijing Taichuang Investment Management Co., Ltd. With the chairman of the company, alumnus Shangguan Yongqiang, the secretary-general of the finance branch and the vice dean of the School of Economics and Management, Qiu Xiaodong, and the representatives of the alumni of the finance branch, as well as the faculty members and students of the Department of Finance, gathered together to talk about the future of the industry.

First of all, Qiu Xiaodong thanked the enterprise Taichuang Investment for its great support to the activity. He said that the theme salon of finance branch aims to deepen the understanding and thinking of the industry through in-depth communication and discussion, and to promote the communication and cooperation among alumni and between schools and enterprises, hoping to share and win-win through continuous learning and cooperation, and to meet the new challenges and opportunities of the financial industry together. He hoped that the new Finance Branch Council would take this salon as a starting point to enrich the content and form of alumni activities, and boost the career progress and common growth.

Afterwards, Mr. Shangguan Yongqiang made a speech on the theme of “Activating Confidence and Creating the Future”. On the basis of comparing the domestic and international financial system and stock market, he analyzed the current economic situation, monetary and fiscal policies, and the development of finance and the real economy, and finally analyzed and judged the market.

During the free exchange session, the alumni had a warm discussion on topics such as “financial market policy”, “domestic and international market comparison”, “science and technology innovation”, “investment and financing in emerging industries” and so on.
