The delegation from the College of Business and Economics at United Arab Emirates University visited the School of Economics and Management at Beijing Jiaotong University.

In September 2024, Mohamed Madi, Dean of the Emirates University Business School, and Professor Kathy Ning Shen visited our university for an academic exchange and collaboration.

 

During the exchange, Dean Shi Xianliang introduced recent developments and achievements of the School of Economics and Management at Beijing Jiaotong University to the delegation from the College of Business and Economics at United Arab Emirates University. He highlighted the school's rich history, comprehensive disciplines, and its commitment to national strategies and industry needs, actively serving key sectors and advancing industry development with impactful results. Dean Shi expressed hope for high-level, in-depth collaboration in areas of shared strengths, aiming to advance practical China-Arab cooperation under the Belt and Road framework and contribute business insights toward building a China-Arab community with a shared future.

 

Dean Mohamed Madi then introduced the College of Business and Economics at United Arab Emirates University, emphasizing that as the only federal public university in the UAE, it has a strong focus on international cooperation and exchange. He noted that the School of Economics and Management at Beijing Jiaotong University, holding "Triple Crown" accreditation, is a leader among global business schools, and expressed a desire for deep collaboration with Beijing Jiaotong University in talent cultivation, scientific research, digital transformation, and China-Arab industry services.

 

During the exchange, the United Arab Emirates University delegation also held in-depth discussions with Professor Gou Juanqiong, Director of the Virtual Simulation Teaching Center and of the Information Management Department, and Professor Liu Yingqi, Director of the Business Administration Department, covering topics such as international talent development, applications of artificial intelligence in teaching and research, and industry collaboration in logistics and transportation. The delegation also visited partner companies and alumni businesses, including Meituan, Traffic Control Technology, JD.com, and Allinpay.
