From May 7th to May 9th, 19 international doctoral students majoring in business administration from Beijing Jiaotong University came to Guizhou for a study visit to gain an in-depth understanding of Guizhou’s local history and culture and excellent practical cases of Chinese enterprises. It is reported that this study visit aims to understand Chinese culture and accelerate the cultural integration between China and the countries along the “Belt and Road”. The international students participating in the study visit were all recommended by the Chinese Economic and Commercial Office abroad and came from 7 countries participating in the "One Belt and One Road" construction, including Ethiopia, Tanzania, Kenya, Sierra Leone, Bangladesh, Jordan, and Myanmar. He holds positions in universities or enterprises, including the Director of the Internal Trade Section of the Ministry of Trade and Supply of Jordan, the Project Manager of the Housing and Development Office of the Ethiopian Government, the Business Liaison Manager of the Kenya Electricity Transmission Company, and the Regional Commissioner of the Ministry of Public Administration of Bangladesh, etc.
At the listing ceremony, Liu Xiaofang, deputy dean of the School of International Education of Beijing Jiaotong University, introduced the basic situation of the school and the training of international students, and said that organizing international students to conduct practical research in Chinese companies is an important part of the school’s training of international students, and it is also the Ministry of Commerce’s foreign aid qualification. Later, they also experienced batik making. Batik, with its elegant colors and complex patterns, is unique among Guizhou folk arts. Painted with wax, dyed, and dewaxed, each totem on the costumes of Guizhou's ethnic minorities records the changes in Guizhou's history and carries the beliefs and prayers of Guizhou's ethnic minorities. Today, this time-honored handicraft still links cultural exchanges between Guizhou and the world.
