On November 1, 2023, the 2023 Forum on China Africa Cooperation - Poverty Reduction and Development Conference and the 2023 Global Poverty Reduction Partnership Seminar were held in Beijing. The results of the 4th Global Poverty Reduction Case Selection were announced at the meeting. AYELE BELACHEW KASSAHUN and BAFA TESFAYE AGAFARI from the International Student Program of the Business Administration Doctorate Program of our school's Ministry of Commerce, together with Professor Liu Yingqi, the Director of the Department of Enterprise Management and Project Director of the School of Economics and Management, jointly wrote and submitted the "Enhancing the Poverty Reduction Ability of Rural Women in Ethiopia - Women's Upgrading and Improvement Project Case" The "Ethiopia Small and Micro Enterprises Promoting Poverty Reduction" has both won the Best Poverty Reduction Case and has been included in the South-South Cooperation Poverty Reduction Knowledge Sharing Website - China Foreign Poverty Reduction Case Library and Online Sharing Platform.

Professor Liu Yingqi, Director and Project Director of the Department of Enterprise Management at the School of Economics and Management; Gu Lin, Counselor of the International Student Program for the Doctoral Degree in Business Administration at the Ministry of Commerce, and Zhang Fang, Project Director of the Enrollment and Project Department at the School of International Education, organized and led the students of the International Student Program for the Doctoral Degree in Business Administration at the Ministry of Commerce to attend the event and participate in the award ceremony for outstanding cases.

Starting in 2018, to promote the sharing of successful practices in poverty reduction between China and foreign countries and promote the "co construction of a community with a shared future for mankind without poverty and common development", the China International Poverty Alleviation Center, a public institution directly under the Comprehensive Department of the National Rural Revitalization Bureau, in collaboration with the World Bank, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the World Food Programme of the United Nations, and the International Fund for Agricultural Development The Asian Development Bank and the China Internet News Center jointly launched the "Global Poverty Reduction Case Collection Activity". After joint evaluation by seven institutions, excellent cases were selected, rewritten, and translated according to international standards and customs and promoted and shared globally. The fourth global poverty reduction case collection event collected 898 cases from 32 countries, and seven institutions selected the most representative 104 cases. Government agencies submitted many instances during the period, including the Ministry of Transport, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Commerce, and the Development Bank. In this selection, our school AYELE BELACHEW KASSAHUN and BAFA TESFAYE AGAFARI won awards and won two best cases, showcasing our students' excellent professional literacy and academic style. This will better help students transition from theory to practice, expand their professional knowledge, and combine them with practical applications, thus laying a solid foundation for future entrepreneurship and management work and enhancing their competitiveness in the field of entrepreneurship and management.
