In a recent venture into industry collaboration, a delegation led by Zhang Xinying, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee at the School of Economics and Management, embarked on a visit to Cainiao Network Technology Co., Ltd. The purpose of the visit was not only to gain insights into Cainiao's operations but also to foster potential collaborations. The ensuing communication and negotiation meeting resulted in the identification of preliminary cooperative intentions between the academic institution and the tech logistics giant.

Ding Lei, Head of the Global Talent Allocation and Reserve Center at Cainiao Network Technology, extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation, providing a brief overview of Cainiao's developmental journey. Underlining its position as a crucial component in Alibaba Group's strategic framework of "1+6+N," Cainiao embraces independence in decision-making across its six major business groups. Lei emphasized Cainiao's dedication to technological innovation within the logistics industry, showcasing its commitment to digital innovation, incremental development, inclusive services, and open, mutually beneficial collaborations. The expressed desire was to establish lasting connections with Beijing Jiaotong University, fostering innovation through partnerships with academic and research entities and jointly nurturing industry talents.

Zhang Xinying conveyed gratitude for Cainiao's acknowledgment and support, presenting recent accomplishments in the college's reform and innovation initiatives. Highlighting the "Four Links" education and teaching model, the college aims to integrate undergraduate and graduate studies, disciplines, industry and academia, and international connectivity. As a business school renowned for its distinctive transportation characteristics, the college aspires to deepen ties with Cainiao Group. The focus is on innovating collaborations in talent cultivation, student activities, internship practices, and mutual employment of experts, aiming for the co-creation of value through industry-education integration.

Liu Yingqi, Director and Professor at the Department of Enterprise Management, introduced the business management major's positioning, faculty, and unique training methodologies. Representatives from Cainiao Group delved into the enterprise's talent development and training system, management trainee initiatives, and school recruitment projects. Subsequent discussions led to a preliminary consensus on various fronts, including internship programs, campus recruitment strategies, employee training initiatives, and the establishment of mechanisms for ongoing collaboration.

Following the meeting, Zhang Xinying presented appointment letters to corporate mentors, solidifying the commitment to collaborative mentorship programs. The delegation also had the opportunity to explore the Cainiao Exhibition Hall and park, bringing the research and visit activities to a successful conclusion.
