In a vibrant union of academia and industry, the morning of February 24, 2023, witnessed the School of Economics and Management join forces with Beijing Huajiang Technology Co., Ltd. for a dynamic school-enterprise cooperation and exchange meeting in the Sidong 612 conference room. The event saw the presence of Qiu Xiaodong, the Vice Dean of the college, and Li Zhaoyu, Chairman of Huajiang Technology Company, who both delivered compelling speeches. Steering the meeting with finesse was Feng Yao, Deputy Director of the Employment Guidance and Alumni Development Center.

Opening the floor, Qiu Xiaodong extended a warm welcome to Li Zhaoyu, acknowledging the distinct honor of his visit. Qiu provided an insightful overview of the college's recent developments and achievements, highlighting the robust disciplines, formidable faculty, and rich historical background of the economics and management domain. Embracing a vision of "leading the development of China's industries," the college consistently aligns with national strategies and industrial development needs, actively contributing to sectors like national transportation and modern logistics. The aspiration is to foster comprehensive exchanges and collaborations with enterprises, seamlessly integrating industry and education to serve the high-quality development of businesses.

 

Li Zhaoyu, in turn, offered a succinct overview of the enterprise's development and business layout. Recognizing Jiaotong University's distinctive industry characteristics and noteworthy contributions to talent cultivation and research, particularly in transportation and logistics, Li expressed a keen interest in establishing enduring connections with the college. The goal is to provide intellectual support for sustainable enterprise development, collaboratively address challenges in business growth, jointly cultivate industry talents, and propel overall industry development.

 

Yang Yefei, the deputy director of the department, provided an intricate introduction to the teaching staff, scientific research achievements, and ongoing research in emerging fields within the Logistics Management Department, aligning with the enterprise's needs.

 

Subsequently, both parties engaged in a profound dialogue around the concept of complementary advantages and win-win cooperation. This dialogue culminated in a series of consensus agreements spanning the construction of internship practice bases, employee training initiatives, case competitions, expert lectures, and scientific research collaboration. A highlight of the plan involves spearheading a student case competition at the semester's outset, aiming to smoothly implement various communication matters in an orderly and efficient manner.

Du Yongxia, Vice General Manager of Huajiang Technology Company, along with Zhang Weijun and Liu Yu from the College Case Center, actively participated in and contributed to the enriching discussions during the meeting.
