On December 19, 2022, Beijing Jiaotong University held the 12th "Maruhe Transportation Agency Scholarship" distribution ceremony in an online format. The ceremony was presided over by Zhang Xinying, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Economics and Management at Beijing Jiaotong University.

Vice President Gao Yan of Beijing Jiaotong University expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Maruhe Transportation Agency for their unwavering support of the university's endeavors over the past decade. She elaborated on the university's recent achievements in talent cultivation, scientific research innovation, discipline construction, and international exchange and certification. She expressed hope that both the university and Maruhe Transportation Agency would leverage the opportunities presented by economic globalization and the implementation of the "14th Five-Year Plan for Modern Logistics Development" to fully integrate cross-border theories and advanced practices. By doing so, they can achieve collaborative development between industry, academia, research, and application. This collaboration will provide intellectual support for the construction of a national modern logistics system and the further development of the global logistics industry.

He Sasaki Sheng, Senior Representative Director of Maruha Transportation Agency Corporation, emphasized the importance of their strategic cooperation with Beijing Jiaotong University. He highlighted Maruha's achievements since establishing contact with the university in 2010, including successful listing on the main board and inclusion in the JPX Nikkei 400 index. This year, Maruha was renamed AZ-COM Maruha Holding Group, signaling its aggressive pursuit of strategic mergers and acquisitions and its steady growth in international influence. He expressed gratitude to Beijing Jiaotong University for its continuous support and pledged that Maruhe Transportation Agency would continue to support students at the university. He also asserted that Maruha would collaborate with the university on scientific research and innovation, contributing to the improvement and iteration of logistics quality services in China and ultimately enhancing the well-being of the people.

Scholarship Recipients Share Gratitude and Aspirations

Guo Xuemeng, Director of the External Liaison and Cooperation Department at Beijing Jiaotong University, announced the list of scholarship recipients. Representatives of the scholarship recipients, undergraduate student Wu Lihua and graduate student Liu Qiaoyu, delivered speeches. They shared their academic and personal experiences, expressing gratitude for the university's support and Maruha's care and trust. They pledged to uphold the university's motto of "Knowing and Doing", set lofty ideals, strive for excellence, embrace love, spread love, and dedicate themselves to making a positive impact on society.

The Dean of the School of Economics and Management at Beijing Jiaotong University, Shi Xianliang, summarized the university's cooperation with Maruhe, tracing its history from the establishment of student aid to the creation of the Logistics Innovation Research Institute. The school has jointly trained over 210 outstanding students and produced numerous research reports, demonstrating remarkable achievements. Dean Shi Xianliang emphasized the significance of strategic cooperation with Maruhe and expressed hope for further deepening exchanges and cooperation between the university and the company. He envisioned a partnership that fosters the global strategic development of enterprises and contributes to the establishment of a modern logistics system that is demand-driven, internally and externally connected, safe and efficient, and smart and environmentally friendly. He extended his congratulations to the 30 scholarship recipients and encouraged them to pursue their dreams and strive for excellence with the love and care of the "Maruhe Scholarship".

The event was attended in Japan through online live streaming by Naoto Kanazawa, the head of the global promotion preparation room at Maru and Transportation Agency of Corporation, Su Xia, the head of the department, Huang Xiaomin, Feng Dan, Zhou Yixuan, the head of the business planning department at AZ-COM Maru and Holdings, Benjiang Sifan, and Li Kuan, the president of the Japan Alumni Association at Beijing Jiaotong University.
