The online cloud internship collaboration between the School of Economics and Management at Beijing Jiaotong University and Hisense Group has been successfully conducted.

In order to enhance the quality and approach of university-industry cooperation, help students develop a proper understanding of employment, and bolster their competitiveness in the job market, an online cloud internship was officially launched on the morning of June 27, 2022, by the School of Economics and Management in partnership with Hisense Group. The opening ceremony was attended online by key figures, including Zhang Xinying, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the college, Guo Ming, Deputy Secretary and Vice Dean, Zhou Yaodong, Vice Dean, Qiu Xiaodong, Vice Dean, Liu Yingqi, Director of the Enterprise Management Department, and Gao Fahong, General Manager of Human Resources at Hisense Refrigerator Company. Additionally, 31 undergraduate students majoring in business management participated in the ceremony, with Professor Liu Yingqi presiding over the event.


During the opening ceremony, Vice Dean Zhou Yaodong delivered remarks on behalf of the college, expressing gratitude to Hisense Group for their strong support in tailoring talent training programs for the university. He highlighted that this cloud internship initiative represents an innovative approach to talent cultivation and internship practice, overcoming various challenges in the unique context of the pandemic. The college hopes that students will seize this valuable opportunity to experience the real working environment of the enterprise and gain insights into the meticulous management, work processes, and craftsmanship of Hisense Group.

 

Following Vice Dean Zhou's address, Ms. Gao Fahong, General Manager of Human Resources at Hisense Refrigerator Company, extended her appreciation to the college for recognizing and endorsing Hisense Group's efforts. She emphasized that Beijing Jiaotong University is a valued partner across multiple aspects of Hisense Group's operations and warmly welcomed all students to participate in this cloud internship. She expressed her hope that students would broaden their horizons, deepen their understanding of Hisense Group, and achieve successful learning outcomes through this initiative.

 

Vice Dean Qiu Xiaodong, representing the guiding teachers for the cloud internship, outlined three key expectations for all participating students. First, he encouraged students to appreciate this opportunity and approach it with dedication and self-improvement. Second, he urged students to apply their knowledge comprehensively and enhance their problem-solving skills through practical experience. Third, he emphasized the importance of active communication, teamwork, diligent study, and the ability to tackle challenges independently, showcasing their skills and capabilities effectively.

 

Ren Meiyi, a 2019 undergraduate student majoring in Business Administration, spoke as a representative of the students. She expressed gratitude to Hisense Group and the college for providing them with the opportunity to gain a profound understanding of the enterprise and learn during this unique period. Students highly value this hard-earned opportunity to deepen their understanding of enterprise development, daily work processes, enhance their professional knowledge, and apply it to their future career plans.

 

The cloud internship activity is scheduled to last for two weeks. Through online live streaming, students will have the opportunity to virtually visit Hisense Group's exhibition hall and production line. Online meetings will provide insights into Hisense Group's history, corporate culture, career development pathways, process knowledge, production procedures, e-commerce business, and job roles. Finally, students will collaborate in groups under the guidance of corporate and academic mentors to design and present new product marketing plans. Throughout this cloud internship, six professional teachers in the field of business administration will actively participate, effectively integrating classroom instruction and practical training to harness the educational role of faculty members.

 

Looking ahead, the college remains committed to fostering deep partnerships with major enterprises like Hisense Group. Building on the establishment of internship bases for students across various disciplines, the college will further advance research collaborations, project partnerships, and diverse training services. These initiatives will pave the way for continued growth and development in the field of economics and management.
