First Lecture for 2nd Teacher Training under Discipline Reputation Improvement Plan of College of Economics -- Soft Science Research and Writing
With a view to assisting teachers to effectively preparing p Achievement Summary q or pExpert Adviceq based on the research reports and effectively providing the decision-making support and consulting service to the national economy and social development, College of Economics gave the first lecture for 2nd Teacher Training under pDiscipline Reputation Improvement Planq on the afternoon of March 20, Xu Heping, researcher and director of Research Office of Ministry of Science and Technology delivered a special report entitled pSoft Science Research and Writingq by combining his own research of the National Soft Science Project.
Mr. Xu pointed out, the mission of Soft Science is to provide the decision-making support. China now enters the new phase for the overall and deepening reform, and its reform is confronted with many problems, which will provide new opportunities for the soft science research. It requires the attention to be paid to the major issues related to the socioeconomic development as it has the strong user inclination and its achievement is of the practical and operational significance. In view of the drafting of p Achievement Summary q, it is required to focus on paccurate positioning, clear intention, proper description, simple layout and rational formatq, so the language should be precise and acceptable, pertinent and to the point, with the sufficient information and the constructive ideas, usually having pa well-chosen topic, a group of data, a nice story and a convincing conclusion (or a proposal).q
Researcher Xu Heping has long been engaged in the research of the economic theories and scientific and technology policy, having the profound research of the major issued related to the industrial development, investment and market analysis, industry and corporate competitiveness, industrial technical policy, reform of Chinaos scientific and technological system, Chinaos strategic technology and industrial development, national key technological organizations and operation mechanism, rural economic structure adjustment and technical support, national new system building and development in the new period, macro policy and support system of the technological investment, etc. He has participated in preparing and drafting a series of national key plans related to the national long and medium-term technological development planning and supporting policies, etc., having served as director of Research Office of Industrial Economic Research Institute under Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, director of Research Department of Research Center under Ministry of Science and Technology, vice director of General Office and director of Research office of Ministry of Science and Technology of China, etc. He answered the questions raised by teachers attending his report by combining his own research and work experience and citing a lot of typical cases, thus having received warm applause and good praises!
