Delegation from Duquesne University arrived at our school for academic exchange

During May 11- June 7, 2014, Delegation from Duquesne University was kindly invited for a visit to our school. The delegation, composed of 19 students from Duquesne University College of Business under the guidance of Prof. Charles Wilf and Prof. John Mawhinney, came over to School of Economics and Management of Beijing Jiaotong University for a visit and study.
 
During their stay for nearly one month, the students from Delegation of Duquesne University completed at our school the study of 6-credit courses, including Global Economic Perspectives given by Prof. Charles Wilf from Duquesne University and Supply Chain & Operations Management given by Prof. John Mawhinney, coupled with many lectures given by professors from School of Economics and Management, particularly in respect of the Global Market, High-speed Rail Development Process and Supply Chain, etc., so these lectures gave the students from Duquesne University with the unforgettable and brilliant experience, demonstrating Chinaos current development trend and its global visual field and deepening their understanding of China. 
 
In the process of the exchange and visit, Delegation of Duquesne University also visited Yanjing Beer, Coca-Cola (China) and Beijing Hyundai. The field inspection further facilitated the teachers and students from the visiting delegation to have the better understanding of the Chinese enterprises and the localization of the international enterprises in China.
 
During the exchange period, teachers and students from the visiting delegation also traveled to Shanghai, Xioan and Tianjin, etc., to add luster to their trip to China so that they could have the in-depth understanding and perception of the Chinese culture.
 
 
Background Information:
 
Dr. Charles Wilf is the assistant professor of Quantitative Analysis of Economics from A.J. Palumbo College of Business of Duquesne University, engaged in the teaching of the global economy and research approaches with his major research direction in Behavioral Modeling.
 
Dr. John Mawhinney is engaged in the teaching of the Supply Chain Specialty at Duquesne University with a decade long teaching and research. Having attended many international conferences with the rich teaching and research experience.
 
Duquesne University was founded in 1878located in Pittsburgh, as the second largest cities in Pennsylvania, USA as well as one of the top 10 Catholic universities. This College of Business offers a dozen specialties, say, Accounting, Finance and International Business, etc. Currently, our school has signed with Duquesne University the cooperation agreement for the annual exchange of teachers and students for the study tour in the College of Business.
