ICSSSMo2014 was successfully held by International Center for Informatics Research Beijing Jiaotong University

(Series of Report - Opening Ceremony - 2014.6.25)

 

On June 25, 2014, p2014 11th International Conference on Service Systems and Service Management-- ICSSSM 2014)q was grandly held by International Center for Informatics Research Beijing Jiaotong University with the approval from Ministry of Education of The People's Republic of China (MOE) at Beijing Friendship Hotel.

 

The opening ceremony was presided over by Conference Chairman and Prof. Cai Xiaoqiang from Chinese University of Hong Kong. Present at the opening ceremony was Conference Chairman and Prof. Ning Bin, president of Beijing Jiaotong University, who also delivered the welcome speech on behalf of the sponsor. Conference Chairman and Prof. Chen Jian from Tsinghua University gave a warn and enthusiastic speech, introducing the history and development of ICSSSM and thanked to the participating domestic and overseas scholars for their strong support. Prof. Zhang Runtong from School of Economics and Management and director of International Center for Informatics Research Beijing Jiaotong University reported the organization and management of the conference. Present were also Prof. James M. Tien, a member of the National Academy of Engineering, Dean of Engineering College of University of Miami and Prof. Robin G. Qiu from Pennsylvania State University, Prof. Liu Zhigang from Postgraduate College of Beijing Jiaotong University, Prof. Dong Hairong and vice director of International Cooperation and Exchange Department and Dean Zhang Qiusheng of School of Economics and Management, etc.

 

ICSSSM is one of the major academic conferences in the international service system and the service management field. Since 2003, it has been consecutively held for 10 years, having attracted many internationally renowned scholars. The conference have been held in Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Tianjin, Xiamen, Chengdu, Chongqing and other places in Japan, Australia and France, etc.

 

This conference has attracted the vigorous support from leaders of Beijing Jiaotong University, the relevant competent authorities and the leaders of School of Economics and Management of BJTU and also got the financial support from IEEE SMC, Tsinghua University, Chinese University of Hong Kong and Beijing Jiaotong University and National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC).

 

Prior to the opening ceremony, Prof. Ning Bin, president of Beijing Jiaotong University granted an interview to the specially invited domestic and overseas scholars and other representatives of the conference reporters on behalf of the sponsor.
