During June 15 to 17, the 2014 EFMD Annual Meeting was successfully held in Vienna, Austria. Zhang Qiusheng, Dean of the School of Economics and Management, and Gou Juanqioing of International Certification Office of Beijing Jiaotong University, were invited to attend the meeting.
The theme for this annual meeting is pArt for Teaching and Learningq and more than 400 experts and representatives from the top-notch business schools in the world gathered together for this meeting, conducting the extensive exchange and discussion over hot issues, such as, the sustainable development of business schools, music and leadership skills, marketing of the business schools at the digital times, the impact of business schools, alliance and cooperation, how to conduct MOOCs and international certification, etc.
During meeting period, with the joint recommendation from Prof. Shen Wei, the international special consultant to the dean and EDAF mentor Arnaud Langlois-Meurinne, Dean Zhang Qiusheng had an audience with representatives of many business schools, exploring for the new fields and approaches for the exchange and cooperation between the business schools.
On the sideline of the meeting, Dean Zhang Qiusheng also led the visiting delegation to ESSCA and VSE to further strengthen the cooperation and exchange with ACE.
This European meeting and visit can favorably contribute to School of Economics and Managementos EDAF and EQUIS business school international accreditation initiated by EFMD, further increase the international impact of Beijing Jiaotong University and the School of Economics and Management, promote the strategic cooperation with Europe colleges for joint programs and scientific research projects and popularize the international reputation of BJTU and the School of Economics and Management so as to play a key role in attracting more international students, create more international learning and exchange opportunities for more students and teachers.
