On the morning of June 27, 2014, Donation ceremony of School of Economics and Management for instant drinking machines of "Love across the Straits- Care for healthy drinking water" was smoothly held at RM. 611 of East Siyuan Building. The ceremony was presided over by Cui Yongmei, party secretary and associate dean of the school.

 

Bai Yan, the vice director of External Liaison Cooperation Department, the deputy secretary general of Education Foundation and the Alumni Association introduced the basic situations and latest development of the donations to the school and also expressed the heart-felt gratitude to Liqun Fenghui Water Treatment Equipment Co., Ltd. and BJTU Alumni Association of Taiwan for their donations and support. She continued, this donation was the first one from the Taiwan alumni to their alma mater, thus having blazed a new trail in the schoolos donation history and also acted as the vital starting point and the cornerstone for the cooperation between both sides. She expected that more Taiwan alumni will be concerned about the school and the talent cultivation, scientific research and the infrastructure construction, etc., so as to inject the fresh vitality to the school for its sound and fast development.

 

Dean Zhang Qiusheng of School of Economics and Management, first of all, conveyed the sincere thanks to Taiwan alumni for their donations on behalf of 221 faculty members and staff and 4500 students. He introduced the profound historical backgrounds and foundations of School of Economics and Management, BJTU, its outstanding disciplinary advantages and abundant alumni resources in the hope that this donation could facilitate the concept and products of Liqun Fenghui Water Treatment Equipment Co., Ltd. highly popularized to the public so as to promote the development of alumni enterprises and enhance the exchange and cooperation with the Taiwan Alumni Association.

 

General manager Lin Changguang of Liqun Fenghui Water Treatment Equipment Co., Ltd. is an alumnus of the 4th EMBA Program of our school, who expressed his deep gratitude for the good care and cultivation from the school during his study period and took this opportunity to communicate with the school through the Taiwan alumni association in hopes of contributing whatever he could do to promoting the further development of Beijing Jiaotong University and School of Economics and Management. At the same time, he demonstrated the multiple-filtering system of the instant drinking machines and he also remarked that these instant drinking machines would provide the excellent and sweet drinking water to the teachers and students on campus.

Wang Ying, director of Office of School of Economics and Management, and Feng Qi, vice director of Social Service and Alumni Office attended and witnessed this donation ceremony.

 

This instant drinking machine donation was the first one from Taiwan alumni, thus exerting the excellent demonstrative and promotional functions, providing the safe and fast drinking water environment to general faculty and staff of School of Economics and Management and also promoting the better communication and exchange between the school and Taiwan alumni and establishing the more profound friendship and mutual trust.
