On the morning of July 3, 2014, KMI Delegation came to our school at the invitation of our school and the leader of the delegation was Researcher Min-Su Kim, the representative from KMIos Shanghai Representative Office. The delegation members included Researcher Min-Su Kim, the representative from KMIos Shanghai Representative Office, Kang Chengyi, first vice chairman of XI' AN, Korean Chamber of Commerce, Jin Longjun, business manager of Tianjin Xinhua International Logistics Co., Ltd. and Dr. Song Yinjie, the intentional logistics expert from Mokwon University. Present at the exchange meeting were Mr. Che Tanlai, the expert of New Eurasian Land Bridge Coordinating Committee under Ministry of Commerce and researcher of Economic and Planning Research Institute of Ministry of Railway (MOR), Lin Xiaoyan, Dean of Economics College of our school, Prof. Wu Jianhong and Prof. Ru Yihong and some postgraduates, altogether 15 persons. The meeting was presided over by Prof. Ru Yihong.
Prof. Wu Jianhong was the representative of UIC in Paris and an expert engaged in the study of Transport Economy Theory and Policy, International Railway Transport Corridor Development and Management. At the meeting, Prof. Wu introduced the current situation of TCR and TMGR and its future development trend with the detailed data, a lot of pictures and cases, from the perspective of the international transport status quo and the infrastructure construction of TCR and TMGR, the development of the international container service, the new technology to promote the railway container development and the proposals for the development of New Eurasian Land Bridge, etc. Prof. Wu also put forward the specific suggestions about the development of New Eurasian Land Bridge and TMGR from the point of view of the business policy, standardization and Informatization.
Researcher Min-Su Kim spoke highly of Prof. Wu for his wonderful report, which helped them have a fuller understanding of status quo and development trend of the New Eurasian Land Bridge and TMGR and offered them much food for thought for the Korean enterprises to further use TCR and TMGR for the international transport. Researcher Che Tanlai remarked, China attached great importance to the development of New Eurasian Land Bridge and TMGR to promote the international transport. Europe and Central Asian countries also paid more attention to the mutual cooperation with China and Korea through the New Eurasian Land Bridge, which will have a broader application prospect based on the fast development of Chinaos HSR (High Speed Rail).
At last, Lin Xiaoyan, Dean of Economics College invited the visiting Korean guests to attend the upcoming international academic conference entitled pTransport & Spaceq for further exchange and cooperation.
