At 9:30 am. On the morning of July 10, 2014, Opening Ceremony for BJTU 12th EMBA Program was grandly held at RM. 306 in East Siyuan Building. Present at the opening ceremony were, Yu Zujun, vice president of BJTU, Guo Xuemeng, director of Professional Degrees Center and associate dean of Postgraduate College of BJTU, Zhang Mingyu, party secretary of School of Economics and Management, Hao Shengyue, associate dean of School of Economics and Management, Gong Shoujiang, director of EMBA Center of School of Economics and Management, and Yin Pin. The opening ceremony was presided over by Hao Shengyue, associate dean of School of Economics and Management and all students of the 20th BJTU EMBA Program and all working staff at EMBA Center also attended the opening ceremony.

 

Vice president Yu Zujun offered his warm congratulations on the opening ceremony for the 20th BJTU EMBA Program and also gave his warm welcome to the new students for the program on behalf of the university. He introduced the development history and current situation about BJTU to the students, emphasizing that the university enjoyed its features and advantages in respect of the disciplinary development, faculty resources, scientific research level, school operation resources and postgraduate education, etc. He also expressed his understanding of and his heartfelt expectation for the students attending the 20th BJTU EMBA Program from the point of view of study, life and work, encouraging the students to cherish the study opportunity, carry forward the university motto pUnity of Knowledge and Practiceq, strive for self-improvement and seek the better academic performances with unremitting efforts to combine the theories thus learned with the actual enterprise development so as to make greater contribution to the development of the alma mater, their enterprises and the society. At last, he wished all much progress in their studies, a happy life and better academic performances!

 

Party secretary Zhang Mingyu conveyed his warmest welcome to the students attending the program on behalf of the school and also gave them a detailed interpretation of the development history of our schoolos EMBA, school running principle, education concept and school operation and management features, etc., and also briefly introduced the historical deposit and development course, disciplinary strength and faculty resources of the Administration Discipline in School of Economics and Management, analyzing the social responsibilities and obligations the EMBA students should undertake against the backdrop of the current economic development. At the same time, he expected that all students could make great contributions to the national development in their respective jobs under the guidance of pInternational vision, highlighting all advantages for the knowledge and action integration and aspiration for the excellenceq.  

 

Mr. Li Sheng, vice board chairman of Shandong Zhongfu Information Industry Inc. delivered a speed at the ceremony on behalf of all other students for the program, thanking School of Economics and Management of Beijing Jiaotong University for having built such a platform for better studies, communication and exchange and also expressed that they would try hard to cherish this learning opportunity to achieve academic success and better performances and would live up to the greater expectations of the university and the school.

 

There are altogether 60 students attending the 20th BJTU EMBA Program, most of who are leaders and backbones the large and medium-size enterprises and the governments at all levels apart from the working staff selected from enterprises affiliated to State-owned Assets Supervision & Administration commission of Hebei Province. Thus far, our school has recruited 1309 candidates for EMBA programs, 890 of whom have won the EMBA degrees.
