According to the layout of the teaching schedule, during the period from July 21 to 30, 2014, 60-odd students from Logistics Management Class 1101 and 1101 of our school went to Cachet Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. for the 8-day concentrated social practice under the team leaders, Zhang Jing, Tang Xiaofei and Zheng Kai, teachers from Logistics Management Department.
On the morning of July 21, Mr. Huang Yibin, general manager Cachet Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. gave the students a special report, introducing the historical background, development scale, main business, operation flow and special instructions of the social practice, etc. Then the relevant responsible persons of the company took the students around the companyos operation site for a visit with the running commentary.
As from the afternoon of July 21, the students were divided into eight groups for the acceptance, dismantling, sorting-out, receipt and transportation, etc. Each group conducted the site observation, site operation, survey and interview, consulting the materials, sorting out the data, etc., for their social practice by focusing on a specific research topic given by Cachet Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., which also appointed an instructor in charge of each group and worked together with the three teachers from Logistics Management Department to give the specific guidance to the students through the entire social practice process and answer and remove the concerns and questions bothering the students.
On July 29, General manager Huang Yibin presided over the discussion and shared the in-depth discussion and exchange with the students concerning problems related to the companyos Process optimization, Facilities Planning and cost management, etc. General Manager Huang made the necessary explanation and interpretation and spoke highly of the students for their strong observation and analysis capacities. This social practice came to an end on July 30.
pSpecialty Practiceq is a required course for students majoring at Logistics Management as a vital part in consolidating the professional theoretical knowledge and effectively applying the learned knowledge into practice. Through the concentrated social practice, the students has the more intuitively and vivid understanding of the logistics enterprises, which can facilitate the students to combine the theory into practice to increase their professional identity and enhance their interests fro the professional pursuit.
