Prof. Chun-Yan Yu from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University visited our school




From May 9 to 13, Prof.Chun-Yan Yu from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University£¬ invited by Talents Introduce Program ¡°Curriculum System Construction of Logistics Management, visited our school. Her Main Research Fields are involved with Aviation Logistics, Aviation economy and Aviation Service Quality Management, and has published many papers on famous journals, such as, Transportation Research, European Journal of Operational Research, Journal of Air Transportation Management, etc.   


During her visit, Prof. Yu had a profound discussion with Prof. RuYihong, Prof. BianWenliang, Associate Professor Tian Yuan and other teachers concerning the teaching of the undergraduate in Logistics Management Program, and also gave undergraduates lessons of two separate courses entitled ¡°Logistics¡± and ¡°Manufacturing Enterprise Supply Chain Management¡±. She combined the achievements of her own research fields and the requirements of the logistics course outlines to explain the typical cases and latest research progress in the aviation logistics in simple terms for better understanding, which brought the students and teachers excellent teaching experience from a world-famous management university. Furthermore, she was kindly invited by the Project Group ¡°Railway Passenger and Freight Transport Service Quality Evaluation¡±spearheaded by Prof. RuYihong, Teacher Zheng Kai and Teacher Song Guang to give a special seminar for this project group, in which Prof. Yu introduced her rich experience in the aviation logistics service quality evaluation and shared a lot of foreign valuable materials and information so that the members of the project group had new awareness of the research method and targets for this project and benefited considerably from the discussion with Prof. Yu.  


Prof. Yu, a member of the Talents Introduce Program Expert Panel, has established an excellent long-term cooperation with teachers and students of our school at all levels. The active interactional communication between both sides will continuously injects the advanced experience to the teaching reform of the undergraduates of Logistics and will continuously consolidate the professional advantages of the logistics specialty.
