Study on Economic Incentives for Energy-saving Transformation of Existing Residential Building issued by Professor Liu Yuming from school of economics and management of Beijing Jiaotong University won the second-class prize for technological progress granted by Architectural Society of China in 2014. In this monographic work, Professor Liu established the analytical framework about economic and environmental benefits relating to energy-saving transformation of existing residential building, which made a deduction on formulas to calculate the increment cost benefit and scale of externalities, and conducted empirical analysis by applying project cases; created the economic incentive mechanism and policy recommendations for energy-saving transformation of existing residential building from aspects including main part, object, approach, mode and intensity of the economic incentive. The research results related to this monographic work have been published successively in some academic journals, where 2 papers under SCI retrieval have been published in Energy and Buildings (international a-class journal whose impact factor is of 2.679), 2 papers under EI retrieval were published in Civil Engineering and Journal of Tongji University (natural science edition), 3 papers in Building Economy and other core journals and 3 papers under ISTP retrieval were published as well.
