In 1986, the authority for awarding the doctoral degree in industrial economics (transportation economics) was granted.
In 1996, the authority for awarding the doctoral degree in management science and engineering was granted.
In 2000, the authority for awarding the doctoral degree in enterprise management was granted.
In 2006, the authority for awarding the doctoral degree in the first-level discipline of business management (including technical economics and management, accounting) was granted.

In 1981, the authority for awarding the Master’s degree in industrial economics (transportation economics) was granted.
In 1981, the authority for awarding the Master’s degree in managerial Science and Engineering was granted.
In 1986, the authority for awarding the Master’s degree in accounting was granted.
In 1990, the authority for awarding the Master’s degree in technical economics and management was granted.
In 1993, the authority for awarding the Master’s degree in information management was granted.
In 1995, the authority for awarding the Master’s degree in business management was granted.
In 1998, the authority for awarding the Master’s degree in labor economics was granted.
In 2003, the authority for awarding the Master’s degree in statistics was granted.
In 2003, the authority for awarding the Master’s degree in regional economics was granted.
In 2003, the authority for awarding the Master’s degree in social security was granted.
In 2006, the authority for awarding the Master’s degree in the first-level discipline of applied economics was granted.
In 2006, the authority for awarding the Master’s degree in the first-level discipline of business administration was granted.
In 2006, the authority for awarding the Master’s degree in the first-level discipline of public administration was granted.

 

The Authority for Awarding the Professional Master's Degree

In 1993, the School became one of the institutions that were granted the authority to carry out national MBA degree education on an experimental basis.
In 1999, the School undertook the cooperative project between Northern Jiaotong University and Victoria University of Technology, Australia in cultivating International Master of Business Administration (IMBA).
In 2002, the authority for awarding the Executive MBA (EMBA) degree was granted.
In 2004, the School undertook the cooperative project between Beijing Jiaotong University and Victoria University of Technology, Australia in cultivating Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
In 2004, the authority for awarding the Master’s degree in the field of project management was granted.
In 2004, the authority for awarding the Master’s degree in Logistics Engineering was granted.
In 2007 the authority for awarding the Master’s Professional Accounting was granted.
 

Key Disciplines

In 1998, transportation economics was entitled as a National Key Discipline.
In 2002, industrial economics was entitled as a National Key Discipline.
In 2002, management science and engineering was entitled a Beijing Key Discipline.
